I went to the hospital anticipating being induced, but ended up having a c-section. :( :( I was set on a vaginal birth, but my doctors' decided against it, there were to many factors against us. Of course I cried, I was so terrified. But all went well for everyone and now I'm recovering and my babies are growing.

I am grateful they decided on a c-section. Of course no one could know it beforehand, but Baby A's cord was wrapped around her neck two times. They both checked in healthy, and may be able to come home with me at the time of my release. All they needed was to be under the warmer for about an hour, and then they were able to come to me as soon as I was settled into my room. They both managed to latch on really well and by tomorrow a lactation nurse will come in and teach me to breastfeed them football style. Yay!!

Another thing that was different to what we planned was one of the names as you'll see below or above.

    Baby A (2 vessel cord)

    Name.....Ally Rae
    Weight....5 pounds 10 ounces
    Length....18 inches long

    Baby B
Name....Bailey Jae (original name was to be Kiely Jae)
    Weight...6 pounds 3 ounces
    Length...18 3/4 inches

Best wishes to all you expectant mothers, see you at the First Year Board soon.

Congrats on your beautiful girls! I too love their names and think the switch was a good one. I read your blog and wanted to remind you that even if you end up having two placentas they can still be ID. My one placenta ended up being two fused, but we DNA tested the boys cause they looked so much alike and they are indeed ID. Thanks for sharing your blog. I'll check out the rest later.

    CONGRATS AGAIN!!!

I didn't want a c-section because I was soooo afraid, but now I am very thankful I didn't try and agrue the point with the doctors. I don't want to think about what could have happened to Baby A during a vaginal labor and delivery since she had her cord wrapped around her neck twice. In this case, the doctors knew best.

Best wishes for a happy, healthy twin pregnancy and beyond!! :D :D

We decided to spell Baby B's name without the "e" because we want the girls names to end in "ly". Now we have Emily, Ally and Baily.
You're right about my name, it ends with an "l', now all I have to do is add a "y" and my new name will be.........Krystaly and we will all end with an "ly"!! :rotflmbo: :rotflmbo:

Thanks. I'm going to wait to see what the results are and if I have to I will have them tested also. They look so much alike in person that unless they are close to each other and you can see that one is smaller than the other, they are hard to tell apart already!! Oh...no....where's the polish?!!
