We get to meet our boys tomorrow!

I've always really hoped--and assumed--that I'd go into labor on my own before 38 weeks so I wouldn't have to do the whole induction thing but ah well; I am so ready to meet the boys! (And be done with pregnancy for now! My body's had it!) My pro-natural-childbirth (which I theoretically am as well) friends are like, "Are you sure you don't want to hold out a little longer?" They went to 42 weeks with their singletons rather than get induced ... But they've never had twins. :p And I haven't had any remotely interesting contractions since the false alarm Thursday night so I figure I'm going to end up needing an induction anyway.

Can't believe it's almost here and that soon I'll have a birth story of my own to post. Wow. It's all so surreal.

I'm also kinda kicking myself for scheduling the induction for 37w6d rather than a day later--the rest of my life when I answer the twin questions I'll have to answer the "How long did you carry them?" with the mouthful, "37 weeks 6 days" rather than the simple "38 weeks." Or I might just have to round up. ;) (Unless the induction goes really slowly and they don't come till midnight!)

:D I have the same issue (36 weeks 6 days). I always shorten it by saying 36 6 when talking to medical people. If someone really won't get it I round up to 37. ;) Congrats on making it to almost ;) 38!!! That's wonderful! How exciting. It is very surreal when you finally get there. I think I was in disbelief until I was holding and nursing them. :) Couldn't believe it was finally happening (dream come true after years of trying and finally having them after being so huge and uncomfortable ;) ). Can't wait to read your birth story. Enjoy today's little movements and kicks. I do miss that. :)

I bet you go into labor tonight. It always seems to happen that way--schedule induction--go into labor night before! Either way, I can't wait to hear how it went and I'm so looking forward to pictures! And FWIW, I say round up. I delivered DD exactly at 38 wks, but DS was 38w2d. I still say 38 wks for both :)

That exactly how long I made it. I usually tell people I made it one day short of 38 weeks so I do kind of wish I went one day longer so i could just say 38 weeks....but at the time one more day just seemed way to long to wait
    Good luck tomorrow!

    Just say 38 weeks!

I was induced at 37.5 weeks and it was fabulous. I loved the induction process! Good luck.
