Nolan started biting on his binkys a couple of weeks back and was going through the supply. Last week at daycare, they suggested we just get rid of them. They went binkyless at daycare on Thursday (they only had them for rest time there) and have been binkyless since. A huge adjustment for them, especially at bedtime (and their second big adjustment last week since I brought a baby into their lives, too). They seem to be okay and have only asked for them sporadically!! And they haven't stolen Liam's binky yet, so that's a good sign.

I was thinking you were going to say they gave them to the baby!

Well, no matter what the method that is fantastic! Sounds like they were ready mom. I hope the transition continues smoothly!

That is great. We went cold turkey with my oldest DD too. She gave hers to Santa. He left her a special gift and a note and I threw them all away that day!! She asked for it for a few days, but that is it. WTG!!

I agree!! Ryan is the only one that uses it and I dread taking it away. He is sooooo attached to it.

Nolan was the one that was more attached. He had a fit on Friday morning over it, but got over it when we started playing. I am so glad to see that I wasn't the only one that had kids still using the binky at this age! I hated doing it.....it just means that they are that much more grown up. [IMG]

Of course it hasn't helped that I can't pick them up right now, either!! I was getting teary listening to them at bedtime.
