We found out what the baby is...

Just for background info........we currently have 7 sons.

At the beginning of this pregnancy, the doctor was leaning toward this pregnancy being twins also (measuring large for 2 months in a row)

had an ultrasound at almost 15 weeks (only one baby) and changed my due date from May 1 to April 23

after bloodwork (at 16 weeks) they thought that they baby could have downs syndrome.....I was sent to a large hospital in Chicago for a
level 2 ultrasound at almost 18 weeks.........shows that the baby is perfectly normal (whew)

and that it is another BOY!!!!!!!!!!


So I now have 8 sons..........we are so happy...........running out of boy names...........but VERY HAPPY

I'm glad the tests showed him to be normal. Now tell me the truth.. did you really think you'd get a girl? LOL Congrats for finding out! Next tuesday hopefully we'll know!

Wow!! I guess you know for sure what your dh is good at!!! Making those boys!! Have you ever seen the movie 7 Brides for 7 Brothers?...it's an oldie, but cute. The brothers were all named bible names alphabetically... I think A was Abraham...B, Benjamin...etc.... Well, one consolation is that paying for the dinner reception will be a lot more affordable than paying for 8 weddings!! LOL! I'm working on girl number 3 here, and I'm already thinking about how much my own wedding cost my parents! LOL! Congrats! Boys are fun.

 

What a relief to know that all is good with your new little one. My XH was the oldest of 5 boys and they had such a great brotherly bond, I can only imagine how great your family will be with another boy! Congrats!!!

Congrats on little man #8!!!!!! I definitley wouldn't have run out of names by this point. You should do something totally crazy and different in naming this one

yes, but have you ever thought of paying for 8 boys car insurance!?!?!?! I think that I may be paying more in the long run......LOL!!!!



Thank you to everyone! We are very happy............each time that we wanted a baby, we got a baby (well, last time we got a baby and a bonus......twins).......we have never tried for a girl, I am not even sure how you would try for a girls....LOL...........we are lucky to have all boys!

Our other boys were freaking out at the thought of the baby being anything other than a boy!!!!! They were arguing who would have to give up their room (we have a 4 bedroom house).

:shok: nope never thought about that!!! Yikes!! I think I'm really glad now to have just 1 ds (for now!!) LOL! My dh was probably in half a dozen accidents by age 21!! (Those are the ones that were his fault!) And he even had one so bad he needed surgery on his head b/c of bleeding. Okay..guess you have a good point...I'd rather pay for the weddings!! LOL!! Guess you could make them ride bicycles until they can afford to pay for their own insurance!! hee hee.
