We found out today that....

First let me say that as soon as I peed on a stick and it read positive, my dh said he wanted twin boys. These twin boys came naturally and as a total surprise! How many people get to wish for twin boys and actually get them? My dh is tickled blue :lol: .

The weights given were 7oz. and 8oz. Is this good for their age? I have only gained 8 lbs, I feel like I have gained 20! Doc said all looks good, heartbeats were 148 and 152. I go to the peri's in 2 weeks, this will be my first visit with them. Still would like some feedback from ya'll about the weights. TIA!

 

I dont remember the weights at that point but I just wanted to say I love having twin boys!

 

congrats!!! how funny! after i peed on the stick, my husband said, "if there are two lines on that side, does that mean you're having twins?" he has also insisted from the beginning that we are having twin boys! we find out next friday! maybe both our DH's are psychic

 

Mine were 6oz and 8oz at that gestation. and dont worry about your weight gain i was -10 lbs by then!! and congrats on the BOYS!!!

Good to know that the weights are "average". I thought I would have put on more weight by now...just surprised is all!

 

i was at about the same week as u when i got the weights of my babies n they were 7oz and 8oz aswell...... but lucky for u uve only gained 8lbs ..... i ontheother had have gained 5 so far but its for the babiessss =) good luck withe the pg n congrats on the baby boys :a_smil09: :a_smil09:

As soon as we left, I told dh..."tell yourself you want to win the lottery and then go buy some tickets!" So, maybe I'll write back in a week to say WE WON THE LOTTERY! That would be nice!

at my 17 week u/s both babies were 7 ounces, which the tech said was normal.

Did I read that right???? Only 5 lbs?

I take it that is good baby weights....phew

 

My husband owns a store and the week b4 I took my pregnancy test three of his customers came in and told him they had twins. He called me and told me beware I am telling you we are going to have twins. Sure enough when I was 5 weeks pregnant I went to the Dr. and she asked if I had time to take a sonogram as I was measuring big and she thought my due date was off. Well.....................................she asked me if I was ready for the news that we were having twins..............he deff brought this onto our family and we are sooooooooooooooooo excited (and nervous)

Men are just freaky I think...Finding out the genders today made this pregnancy much more a reality. we are now nervous and excited too!

 

I am so happy for you that you have two little boys. It is so exciting to get what you want. I finually am getting blessed with a little girl. I already have 2 boys and now am having boy/girl twins. I was so thrilled when they said there was a girl in there. I had another u/s yesterday for a fetal echocardiogram and they said it was still a boy and a girl. I thought it was too good to be true for there to be a girl in there. Both of mine were 7 oz. at the 17th week appt. and my Dr's said that was right on track with the weight.

 

At 17w4d, my boys were both estimated at 7 oz, which was considered right on target. I haven't had mine yet, but they have been consistently right around the 50th percentile for weight.

that's hysterical!!! cuz i told MY DH to go buy lottery tickets, too!!! i mean, why not? he knew i was pregnant before i took the test, he knew it was twins, now if we find out it's two boys, we're buying a ticket! :lol:

Yay! for little boys! How exciting!!!

I was still in the negative for weight gain at that point. So, don't worry too much about it. Those little boys are the right weight for where you are, that is what matters.

 

congrats!!! We are having twin boys too!! Don't worry, you will be gaining weight soon. I started to show about 17-18 weeks. Now, there is denying that I am prego!

My husband wanted twin boys too.

Isn't it great when you get what you want!!
