We found a meat our kids will eat!

Rotisserie chicken from the supermarket!

We almost never get it, but DH bought one yesterday. In a brilliant move, he invited the girls to stand on a stool in the kitchen and watch him cut it up. They started asking for bites, and just shoveled it in! They even kept eating it after we were sitting at the table -- so it wasn't just one of those "I only eat this while standing on a stool" things.

I don't think Sarah's consumed that much protein in months -- I hope it doesn't mess up her digestion! :D

Our boys love it too, we usually get one when we go to BJs warehouse. The last time I just gave them a chicken leg :) they loved it!

They also love talipia filets with a little tarter sauce.

I wish I could buy that and try it, but unfortunately, and why I do not know, rotisserie chicken has dairy in it. No idea why, but the ones at our store do. With my son's %^*$! Dairy allergy I can't try it. Wish so badly that he would grow out of it. sigh.

Glad you found something good that your two love!

That's great! I've got non-meat eaters here, but for some reason they ate Sherpherd's pie that my DH made. It's meat and veggies, I don't know why they ate it, but they did. They make no sense sometimes.

Have you seen the "rotisserie" Crockpot chicken recipe in Cooking???? It's good and you have complete control over the ingredients!

OMGosh that's funny! My two are just like that too. They'll go to town on something as long as they're standing up and not in their highchairs.
They've never met a bean that they don't like though, sitting or standing, so that's how I sneak the protein past them most days.

We have been doing a lot of meat in the crockpot lately. Not my fave, but the kids love it (chicken, pork, AND beef). I'll have to get a rotisserie chicken and try that too. Easy and yummy!
