    ok... so here's the skinny....

I go in this morning and I have to tell you guys that I am SOOOO swollen in my feet and and legs - I can't fit into ANY shoes (so have been wearing flip flops) and my legs look like elephant legs! I've never had the swelling like this with any other pregnancy - in fact, since last wednesday I have gained 8 pounds! I know it's all water retention but still I'm very uncomfortable

ok.. so on to the appointment... the Dr. comes in and from the heartbeat location of Baby B - he thinks that both baby's are vertex. Baby B has been altering between transverse and Breech this whole time so he was VERY excited and wanted me to have a quick ultrasound to either confirm this or to find out the baby's placements..... Sadly, the u/s confirmed that she is still breech and most likely will not turn due to lack of any room in there. Anyway, I am STILL hanging out at 4.5cm dilated! I can't believe I have been there for like 3 weeks!!! He said he never would have thought I would have made it this far without delivering (and neither did I). So then we decide to just set an induction date (we hadn't before because we really thought we wouldn't need too - but time has proven otherwise). I was cool with today or even tomorrow :D :D . He really wanted to wait closer to the end of the week (to technically be 38 weeks). The hospital only allows a certain number of inductions per day and most are scheduled WAY in advance.... so the next availabel date isn't until NEXT TUESDAY! I will almost be 39 weeks by then  As I left - I was pretty much crying and then lost it once I got into the van - how am I supposed to make it another whole week feeling this miserable??!! But then I decided to look on the positive side of things - which are:

    1) Next Tuesday the Dr. that will be assisting w/ the delivery is labeled as "the best" at delivering twins and more specific Breech extractions - so I'm thinking this might be a real blessing

    2) (realized after reading the post by 5girlies on "thoughts after two weeks of twins") Even though I am most uncomfortable and miserable (especially at night) - at least when I can't sleep it's on my terms and I can watch TV, read, surf internet -- when the girls arrive, I won't be sleeping at night anyway but will be feeding, changing, rocking babies

    3) Right now, every afternoon (from 12:30-4:00pm) my house is completely quiet (my 3 oldest boys are at school and my youngest takes a 3-4 hour nap) and I can nap, or veg or do whatever I want -- this shant be the case once the girls arrive!

    4) My mom is a school teacher and if I have them next Tuesday, come home from the hospital on Thursday, mom arrives Friday and stays a week with us (she's going to take a week off initially to come help) then she has to go back and finish up the school year (but they get out like May 17th) so she would only be gone for about a week and a half before she could come back for an additional 5 weeks (which I really like this aspect of the new timeline!)

So, this is where I sit - now actually hoping I make it till next week (but am worried now that since I'll be more relaxed and not worrying about labor, etc.. the girls will just come on their own - which truthfully wouldn't be a bad thing at all!) but I'm seeing the positives of keeping them in another week.

You can do it! I delivered at 38w4d! I was very uncomfortable at the end - getting swollen and slept in a recliner. I had no PTL signs and didn't even go into labor on my own! I had a c-sect because my babies were breech.

It made a big difference to my babies having that extra week, and I'm so glad we waited (ours was the monday after t-giving).

Enjoy the silence. Watch a movie. And, maybe you'll go into labor on your own if you're really ready. This week will fly by - I gusrantee it!

Wow! The end is definitely in sight. Each day that goes by you know for certain is one day closer to that goal. You'll be holding those babies before you know it. Keep up the great work!

Enjoy your quiet time. Sounds like you have the right outlook. I was thinking similar thoughts as I lounged in the recliner the other night eating ice cream while DH was putting the boys to bed. I am sooooo not going to be doing that once the girls are born.

Congratulations on your setting a date. I hope you go on your own though. Good luck and I can't wait to read your story.
