We finally all went to the beach!

This is really sad, because we only live about 3 miles from the beach, but today was our first trip with all 5 kids!! It was fun...and exhausting! Jake tried to eat the sand, Emma didn't. The relaxing was all over once they found the water, which was only about 5 minutes after we got there! They missed their morning nap, but took a quick catnap in the stroller while we were walking and fishing. It was fun, and a great prep for our trip this summer to the OBX!!

It looks like they had fun. We are only a few miles away from the beach yet, we have not braved that adventure yet. After seeing your pictures maybe we will give it a whril soon.

 

OK, that made me cry!! They are so beautiful and what a great video!! (I LOVE Jack Johnson, BTW)! Thank you so much for sharing...I cannot wait to do that with mine babies one day.

We are about the same distance from the beach and, like noahandjacobsmom (and you til yesterday) we haven't taken on that adventure yet. You must be on west coast- your beaches are so level and flat water...ours have big drop offs (erosion) and the waves are much bigger.

Loved the montage- you are quick.

Hopefully we'll make it sometime this summer.

 

Christina, yes, we are on the Gulf side, in Ft. Myers. There are so many of us in FL, we should plan a get together sometime!

That would be fun- probably in Orlando since it is central and there are hotels a plenty (and pretty cheap) and LOTS to do. Think I'll pop over to PC and put out a feeler. Great idea- our own little version of Sesame Place!

those are ADORABLE!!!!!!!
We hit the beach yesterday and today for the first time, and it was a ton of work, but hilarious. The stroller wouldn't go through the sand as an FYi, so today we used a wagon instead. It was fun, and we had lots of strangers offering to help us get them up the 2 stairs in the wagon when we left. We took them up on it! Everyone loves to hold babies. Point being? Even if you only have one other person with you, you CAN do it if you don't mind letting others help. I never mind.

 

Awww, absolutely adorable! Looked like everyone had a blast. What a beautiful family!

I miss the beach so much -- I grew up in West Palm Beach, where my parents still are....and my best friend from high school lives in Ft. Myers. Can't wait until I can pack up all these kiddos in the van and make a trip down....(although I think my DD was 15 months before her first "real" trip to the beach, LOL.)

Wow, Becky, gret pics! Looks like everyone had a blast. I want to take the kids to the beach so badly, but haven't worked up the nerve yet! I know you had your hands VERY full, but you did a great job!! :clapping:

 

Great pictures, Becky! They made me homesick,though. I grew up in Alabama & we always went to the beach in Florida every summer. We still try to get to the beach when we visit my parents every summer & I absolutely love it there. The beaches are so different here (we are only about 2 or 3 blocks from our beach here), very rocky, lots of sea life (starfish, crabs, sea urchins), but not as good for sand castles & swimming. I have a good friend from high school who lives in Ft Myers, I hear it is beautiful there.

The pictures are adorable Becky!!! :wub: They looked like they had so much fun. I am so excited for our vacation in SC this summer, but a bit nervous too since it will be their first time at the beach, it's been awhile since I had someone try to eat the sand.

 

Cute shots Becky! I can't believe it took that long to get to the beach --- I would be there every day! I am obessed with the beach!
