we are med free!

a few weeks ago i posted about stopping reflux meds (prevacid) for DD. she was 9 months old and hardly taking any bottles so the pedi said we should give it a try, needless to say i was nervous and did not at all want to go back to the days of constant crying/screaming..

well, i am overjoyed to report that we have had no repercussions from stopping the meds and she is doing great!

they are down to 2 bottles a day and are doing great with solids and are crawling all over the place, it is so fun!!

i hope this serves as a beacon of hope for those of you that are still suffering from reflux. having a baby with reflux was easily the most difficult challenge that i have had to face so far. there were many days that were spent in frustration and tears, both DDs and mine, and i am so grateful that this phase has passed!

Congrats. You definitly inspire me, as we are having a rough time right now with the reflux. Both twins have it - one worse than the other - and it is no fun at all. I can't wait for the day when they are no longer suffering.

It's funny me and my Mum were just talking this morning about if/when the girls will come off meds and i was saying how trying it will be a very nervewracking occasion.
