All of a sudden this week my girls are doing new things. They are soooo close to sitting up by themselves. I LOVE that milestone! It is so nice to be able to sit them up with the Boppy around them and let them play with their toys. They seem so much happier with being able to do this. Claire rolls everywhere too! Emily did the same thing when she was a baby...those two seem a lot alike. Carlie got her first tooth yesterday! Claire has sometime to go yet, but that is ok. Carlie is ba-ba and ma. It is so cute cause she concentrates so hard on talking. She LOVES the cat too! When she is sitting on the floor and he walks by she gets so excited and squeals! Claire says nothing but da-da-da-da....he ain't all that

Now, if we can just get them to hold their bottles. I completely forget when Emily started to do this and take the sippy cup. They got the beginner ones in their Easter baskets...ones with the handles on them. They show no interest in holding their bottle. Carlie doesn't even touch it and Claire insist on putting both thumbs in her mouth when taking the bottle...gets messy, but its cute. They grab at their toys and all, but have no interest in touching the bottle when I am feeding them. When do they normally start trying to hold it? When should I try the sippy cups?

I am wondering about holding their own bottle/sippy cup, too. Mine STILL don't!

I know you are so excited! I wanna know about the holding the bottle thing too, mine try but it just seems like the bottle is to heavy for them because they can hold it when they are almost finished. Well congratulations on your babies milestones.

Mine didnt start holding their own bottles until the end of the 9th month. We started sippy cups once they could sit up in the highchair well. At first they just looked at them or knocked them over.

Congrats on almost sitting, teeth, and ba ba ma ma!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh, what milestones...congrats! I didn't realize babies begin "talking" around 7 months. I can't wait!

They sound like they are doing so well....that is so awesome.

Mine have been holding their bottles for about a month now. I put their hands around them and we just 'practiced' everyday. Same with rolling over and now we are working on sitting up. We are going to try sippie cups this weekend.

Yeah babies!!! I love that age because its this explosion of learning! As for holding bottles, mine didn't do it consistently until 10 months. We started introducing the sippies at 6 months and Meara got it right away, but it took Ana awhile to catch on.
