Let me start by saying I have been dealing with the absolute worst varicose veins "down there" for quite a while. Well, the other night I went in the bathroom to go pee. I had been feeling so much pressure and pain. I sat down and I looked down and I was so swollen. It felt (and looked) like "everything" was just going to "fall out". It freaked me out. I didn't experience this with either of my other pregnancies. There was no blood or weird discharge or anything. Is this normal? Should I call my doctor? Or can it just wait until my next appointment on the 27th for me to bring it up then? I warned you it was way TMI.
I hope you figure something out! :hug99: I'd definitely mention it at your next appt. Can you call the nurse line?
Are you wearing those super tight panty hose things? I know a lady that had the same problem and she had to keep those things on all the time. It helped with the pain as well. She had this happen each pregnancy and finally decided that this last one she just had was her last. You could mention it to the doc and see what they suggest. Sorry to hear your having pain, hope you feel better.
OUCH!! Oh the Joys of being pregnant huh. I dont have vericose weins or anything but my really good friend had them awful with her pregnancy's. She did ice packs and stuff when it got bad. I am so sorry!! I would call me Dr and see if they have any ideas to help relieve the discomfort.
Thanks ladies. I guess I'll call tomorrow (didn't have time today). QUOTE(New Mom @ Feb 13 2008, 11:19 AM) Are you wearing those super tight panty hose things? I'm really terrified to have another c-section but it just doesn't seem "safe" to have a vaginal delivery with varicose veins down there.
