WAY ahead of myself!

Most sbs strollers I see don't allow for 2 infant seats. If any, they allow for just one. The Bumbleride Indie Twin doesn't specify only one, but I can't find anywhere if it allows two for sure. Does anyone know? I can't imagine that I'd actually get this stroller, but was just exploring to see if there are ANY sbs that take two infant seats.

    Thanks!

(OH... I'm saying I'm WAY ahead of myself because we haven't even had our viability u/s for the twins... I'm only 6 weeks!)

hopefully you'll get confirmed twins soon! :)
as far as strollers that fit 2 infant carriers - several models/brands do. I personally have the Graco DuoGlider and it accomodates 2 of the Graco Snugfit carseats. I really have liked it and it's a tad bit more budget friendly than some of the others out there.. good luck!

The Graco is a tandem stroller... I'm trying to see if there are any side by side (sbs) ones that take the infant carriers. Have you seen any like that?

If it were a narrow side by side, that would be what I'd get. WIth the in-line, the twin in the back doesn't get to see much (at least in the strollers I have). Good luck with the pregnancy & this decision!

I've wondered this myself and would totally get a side by side if there were any that would fit 2 car seats. Unfortunately I have looked and looked and have not found any. The bumbleride only holds 1, I know someone who called the company and they said that 2 car seats side by side are too wide to fit through standard doorways, I guess this would explain why there arent any that hold 2 infant seats.

We ended up buying the Graco Quattro Tour Duo which is a tandem and holds 2 car seats.

I am actually concidering getting the twin bumbleride next summer when we buy a side by side, so if anyone has any experience with it I would love thoughts/opinions!!

Oh darn!! I was just talking to a local store that carries the Bumbleride and said they would try putting the two seats on (but they thought it was only for one). I know the stroller without seats fits through a door. Bummer adding the carseats makes it too wide!! Grrr... not sure which one to use now. The nice thing about the Graco Quattro is that i could wear one baby and put my toddler in. With the snap and go I'm really relying on my toddler to walk and stay close!

How is the Quattro in terms of folding up and putting into a car? I have the single now and it's easy but a little heavy. I can't imagine a double one!

It is heavy, but you wont find a double stroller that isnt, but manageable. I think its easy to fold down and open up, easier than the older version.

    Hello mothers and expectants,

I would be glad to shed a bit more light on the Indie Twin. The Indie Twin is only one car seat compatible at a time. However, one great thing about the Indie Twin is that both seats recline to almost flat. This means the stroller is safe for newborns on the lowest recline setting. So if you do have twins, and use two car seats, you would only have to take one of them out of the car seats to use this stroller.

Many strollers and jogging strollers have a weight or age minimum unlike the Indie Twin (the Indie Twin is recommended for light jogging).

Also, the single car seat adapter bar comes with the stroller unlike some other strollers where you have to purchase this separately. It also fits the following car seats: Graco Snugride, Graco Safeseat, Combi Centre, Britax Companion, and Baby Trend Flex Loc.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to email [email protected] or to call our customer service @ 1800 530 3930

Good luck with your stroller decision!

I recommend www.babygizmo.com as a good stroller resource, especially their video reviews.

Maybe I'm just a bit snarky right now (bad day) but this response makes me want to ask "how do I figure out the winning lottery number combination for the mega millions?" Maybe that person will log on and reply directly as well. :blbl:

Most of the twin moms I have spoken to in my moms of multiples group have given me the same recommendation if you aren't super budget tight.

    1. Get a Snap and Go for the first months.

    2. Then get a SBS Maclaren Twin stroller.

They all swear by this combo. We bought our Maclaren already and I have to say it is super light and easy to maneuver. I am very impressed so far but my twins aren't born yet so we've only tested it with friends kids a few times.

Ok, so im looking for a three seater but i totally agree. figuring out thet slot machines is easier then this. my biggest frustration is finding the right stroller for all our needs and not getting sucked into making a pricey purchase for a piece of crap. i cant live without a stroller but right now i HATE them. and on line shopping is the only place i can find them but without being to try one how do i know its right for us. did i say i HATE this. good luck. :help:

Do they have a toddler? That's my biggest concern now. I want something that my toddler can sit in, so I'm leaning away from the snap and go. I also want something two carseats can go in, so I'm basically ruling out all sbs strollers for the first 9 months or so. Then we'll go with the InStep jogger that I'm getting from my SIL with twins. Yahoo! I'll see if a board will go on the back of it for my toddler then... he'll be close to four by the time the twins are out of the carseats, so I shouldn't need him in a stroller so much.

Well, I've pretty much decided I'm going with either the Graco Quattro Tour Double, the Kolcraft Options Contour Tandem, or the Joovy Big Caboose. My favorite is the Joovy but it's the most expensive and GIGANTIC (63" when folded). My second choice is the Kolcraft... best price and 21" shorter than the Joovy, but I'm reading reviews right now.

We used the Double Snap and Go for the first few months. Now, we are in our Valco Trimode Twin.
There aren't any side by side strollers that accomodate two car seats, that would be way too wide.
The snap and go has been great and I'm sure we will continue to use it. But, I must say, we LOVE our
Valco. It was the best splurge we made! I highly recommend it.

The problem with the snap and go is no option for my toddler then. That's why I've decided against. And then once the twins are out of carseats we'll go to a sbs... but I'm going to buy my SILs InStep sbs jogger. May not be as great as the Valco or others, but it will a LOT cheaper and work just fine for us! :)
