With summer coming, watermelon is a staple food at our house. If I get a seedless or de-seed the watermelon, can my boys eat it?

We did watermelon just like any other new food. Gave it for 4 days and waited. We had no issues with it.

We did watermelon the girls' first summer. It was one of the first solids they'd eat. We would cut it up into chunks and then freeze it and then let them gum it. I imagine it felt really good on their teething gums!

I'm so glad you posted this question. I was wondering the same thing the other day at the grocery store. I bet they will love it. Now I can't wait to get some and try it out.

All of my kids have loved any type of melon, especially in the summer.

My kids are huge fruit eater-and LOVE LOVE LOVE watermelon! I was actually thinking about this yesterday when Annabella was "eating" play food that was watermelon. I know she's going to go crazy for it! I can't wait for it to be in season here now!

Oh-and to anwer the question-when they were little, we just got the seedless watermelon and held it-and let them eat it. Loved it. Now that they are older-they still like when we cut a slice and eat it that way. They don't like for us to cut it up into chunks! LOL!
