Quick question- I usually use distilled water for our bottles. I was told not to use nursery water untill after they got teeth. My twins are six months old,and I was actually wondering if anyone boiled their well water to use in bottles. In my area we can't recycle and I'm getting pretty tired of trying to find uses for all these empty plastic water jugs. It would really be easier to just boil my water and store it for bottles. I mean I've been drinking my well water (no I don't boil it) all my life and I have never had any issues. Could use some advice- I do plan on talking to our DR next week at the Apt. Thanks all.

We use filtered tap water here (it's groundwater). I've checked out the water quality report from our city and there aren't any safety issues to worry about with our water. Has your well water been tested for contaminants? I might be concerned about well water, unless it's been tested recently.

After about 1 month I used regular tap water. I think filtered tap water is a good idea too!

We use filtered tap water too. Maybe you can filter your well water.

Same here. I got real tired of buying those big jugs of distilled water and lugging them home. We get quarterly water reports from the town and everything tests well below allowable levels, so I switched to tap figuring that is good enough. I've thought about putting a filter on our tap, but they are so slow and I have such little patience it would really annoy me to wait for it to fill up our mixing bottles :p

I would definitely have your water checked before using the water. What's ok for adults can be detrimental to little ones at the same levels. In Canada we are told to boil baby's water til 4 months of age if it's city tap water, well water would definitely be a different story. Good luck!

I use the brita pitcher and filter the babies water. We have city water and we just don't like the after taste so we filter ours too, but I have a seperate big pitcher in the fridge for ours and the babies pitcher sits on the edge of the sink.
