When your breaks I kno that instead of it always being a HUGE gush of fluid it can be constitant trickles or small gushes. Thats my question Ive been today and yesterday having small gushes of fluid its water like tinted white somtimes and every so often it will happen. When I sit or stand up. did anyone else have this or is it even a poss. that my water could have broken and I have the baby doing a "cork" affect lol

Having had my water broke for me I may not be the best one to answer this, but I think once it's broke it all comes out quickly. What you maybe feeling is a little pee. That far along you tend lose control of your bladder. But everyone is different, so if you truely feel your water broke you should go in to the hospital.

My water broke earlier this week. I just happened to be on the toilet at the time. It was a gush, but not a huge one. I tried to sit there long enough for it to stop coming out, but I couldn't. A maxi pad got us all the way to the OB's office, but after I got there, I had a bigger gush. I was dilated to 8 by then. I had my babies about 30 minutes later. The other water didn't break. The doctor broke it during the c-section.

When my water broke with 2nd dd, it was never a gush, just trickles a lot. I definitely had to wear a pad on the way to the hospital, but it was never anything that could even remotely be considered a gush. Seriously, if you even question it, you need to go in. The problem with it having been broken for this long is the possibility of an infection getting in to the baby! Keep us informed.

I would go in.. not everyone gets that gush. Trickles and small gushes are actually pretty common.

Mine would trickle with every movement but not if I was still....it doesn't have to be a gush at all.

Eeks... how do you know if it's trickles of pee or trickles of your water breaking?

you just have to go in and the nurses in the Triage have a strip of paper that will confirm or deny that it is water (vs. pee) by having it come in contact with the "water".... if it's happening when you stand up - it very likely could be the baby's acting like a "cork" effect and I'd go in and have it checked....
    keep us posted :)

Please go in to get it checked!

For me, I woke up, stood up to pee and there was a small (very small) "gush" that I thought could just be discharge. I went to the bathroom and thought it was my water, but wasn't sure. After the bathroom, I stood up and more came out - and it wasn't pee, so I knew it was my water. I did not have a large gush and not that much came out until about an hour after I'd been in the hospital - then it really started gushing!
