Watch what you say...!!!

It's so true, they pick up EVERYTHING!

I guess I didn't realize it, but I say "Oh My God!"...A LOT.

One of my daughters is now using the phrase. But the funny thing is, she knows just when to use it! lol If she's gonna get a treat or we're going to the park or she's very excited about something, she yells "Oh My God!!".

My husband and I just crack up.

I love this age.

its a cute age..and they are so cute at this age. picking up on almost everything you say and do.

 

We're pretty good about watching what we say. DH has replaced a lot of his frustration "bad" words with "Oh, man!". We are building a basement downstairs and he uses this a lot. Now Jamie is constantly saying "Oh man!". When she drops something, "Oh, man!". When she has trouble with her letters, "Oh, man!". Even though it's not a "bad" word, DH and I know what it's replacing and it's funny to hear those "replacement" words so heavily entrenched in their vocabulary.

 

Somehow, it seems as if they have a special radar out for words they shouldn't use. Dh let "Oh S--t" slip out a couple of weeks ago, and Chloe hasn't let us hear the end of it!

My girls right now keep saying " Awsome". Something exciting happens or I say yes to something ,they hug me and say " Awsome"

 

Kelsey's thing is to come up and say "Oh Cool!". She does it completely on her own. It's cute when they say something that isn't bad!

 

Oh I hear ya on that!!!! I let an explitive slip and I think they were saying it, but I changed it and said "oh, where do you see a rock?" or something like that .....
