Washing....

I am currently in the process of going through their next batch of clothes-and there are A LOT! I am going through the 12 month size. At what point do you stop washing before wearing??? Is it more of a preference? Just wondering what you have all done...

I stopped when they were around 6 months old or so...

 

I always wash them, but I wash mine too. Mostly because lots of them are too big before washing and are supposed to shrink a little, and I use lots of used clothes anyway.

 

I always wash clothes before they wear them, mine too.

 

I still do and will for a while. ONe of my girls has sensitive skin, so I don't want to potentially have her affected in any way from the chemicals on new clothes.

 

I think its a personal preference. I always wash before wearing even for myself. I just broke out the 12mo & 18mo fall clothes, there was a TON, fortunately I have have one of those monsterous washing machines (well my 'roommates do! )!

 

I wash all clothes before wearing (including my own). Depending on the clothing's origins, it may have been treated with pesticides and is almost always coated in starch to keep it looking clean on the hanger.

 

My girls were about 4 before we stopped washing clothes. I still do it if I have time but I have put the occasional outfit on them when it is straight from the store.

 

Washing before wearing?? Never done it

 

About 6 months, I think. They only have things on for a few hours anyway. lol.

 

I wash everything & anything ~ I totally have OCD about laundry though :laughing:

I've stopped doing it for a lot of things. I still do it sometimes, but not always. It's pretty much based on if I have something else I want them to wear then I'll wash the new clothes, but if I want them to wear the new item of clothing then it doesn't get washed first.

 

I always wash first, just a habit I got into.

 

I still do. And I always wash DH and my clothing before we wear it as well.

 

I washed everything first when they were itty bitty. Jonas has sensitive skin so I still wash before wearing for them. Sometimes I wash stuff before I or DH wear something, but not always.
