Is there a specific laundry detergent I should use when washing the babies clothes for the first time?? I didn't know if I could use Tide or is there something more sensitive??

With my first I used dreft. But this time I have just been using Purex free and clear. And something I wasn't told with my first but soon realized is don't use sented dryer sheets. I did this with my son and couldn't figure out why he had a rash until I quit using them. Now I use Bounty free and clear (not really the name but I can't remember it, it's in a white box).

When I found out I was pregnant, we switched laundry detergents to All Free & Clear and Bounce Free & Clear fabric softner sheets. Figured we may as well all be using the same. I washed all the babies clothes with it and I did the same with my first baby with no problems!

We never switched detergents or anything when we had the babies but we were already using free/clear of dyes perfumes etc becaues we have sensitive pets!

Dreft for me but I will look into this other detergent that everyones speaking of because Dreft does cost a pretty penny. But definately do not use Tide it may be too strong for babies and break them out.

We never used dreft - we used all free and clear - it is a lot cheaper. We were using fabric softener to begin with until my daughter started breaking out - then we stopped. We were able to go back to it a few months later - guess she grew out of the allergy to it.

we use all free and clear and stopped using fabric softener a couple years ago all together. So many clothes nowadays say not to use it, and it adds a wax to your clothes (even the sensitive kind).

I use the All Free and Clear and Bounty Free drier sheets. I also use Baby OxyClean (I find it at BRU). It gets all the formula stains out of the clothes. Which BTW, it good since I resell the clothes to get the boys next size.

    Enjoy,
    Jenn
