One of my boys seems to be wanting to go to bed earlier and earlier. I am thinking with daylight savings this weekend I wont worry about it too much. He naps pretty good during the day, and is super easy to put down for bed – so I am really not complaining, but last night he wanted to go down by 5 pm. One this means he is pretty much up for the day around 5 am :( and this also means I don’t get to see much of him when I get home from work :( Should I be concerned or just see if this is a phase?

My girls seem to need to go to bed at 5:30 most days. I try to hold them out till 6, but they're so cranky. I'm going to start trying to give my girls a 3rd nap around 3:30 or 4 and see if it helps.

what does their normal routine look like? we actually keep ours up a little at night even knowing they are tired and they tend to wake up at 5:45am - 6:30am. They get their last bottle at 6:30pm and I just distract them until then...they are a little fussy, but it isn't unbearable.

Ditto - we keep ours up until 7:00 even though they are noticeably tired and grumpy starting at about 6:00. They wake up at 6:30 in the morning like clockwork. I am really worried about what the time change will do though!

I used to put mine down around 7pm but I managed to move it to 8pm due to summer coming, etc. You could try by delaying bedtime by 10 or 15 mins and see what happens. Could you go out for a walk to keep them distracted? The last hour is hard work for my two, especially as DD is resisiting her daytime naps, but they´re coping. GL!

Mine started going to bed at 4 pm!...then I changed it slowly to 5 or 6...sometimes I push it to 7 (with baths, lotion, etc) but I just get cranky babies who do no not sleep anymore than 5 or 6.... When I tried to give them "dinner" they are just really cranky...They go down fine on their own so
they never take that 7 pm bottle...
I'm bymelsef all day (including for baths) so the longer they stay up the less time I have for relaxing a little at the end of the day...

I found that if I tried to keep mine up longer than they wanted too, it was much harder for them to fall asleep and stay asleep. If he is sleeping 12 hours straight though, I would say leave him be. That is awesome.

Our evening routine is typically to try and eat some solids about 5 pm so they have some time to digest and get that last bottle in. Then we clean up, get night time pj's, clean diaper, sleep sack then holding, talking, wind down, read books - then when the eye rubbing and fussing starts I give them the last bottle and its off to bed. When he is tired there really isnt anything that keeps him awake and happy - if we go for a walk - he will instantly fall asleep. He isnt sleeping through, still typically waked 1-2 times to eat :( Thanks for your thoughts ladies - we'll see how this all plays out.

How many naps do they take a day? We had a 3rd nap or catnap for a while around 4pm and that got them through until our normal bedtime at 7:30. Then as they got older they dropped the nap all together, and are fine with going until bedtime at 7:30 and sometimes even want to stay up until 8 if we let them.
