Tell them they're fat, Tell them they have to work out and have to lose weight, or they won't get the job they want. And have more than one person do it.......

Yep, that's right. My boss's have said that to me. TWO of them now. And today it was 'officialy' said that I will not be put in for this special duty job until I lose my baby weight and 'twinskin'. Mind you I am BARELY 3 mos. PP and still trying to find time to EAT, let alone work out. I was told that I more than qualify for the position in every other aspect, that my weight is the ONLY thing hindering me at this point.

Okay, so I KNOW I'm 50lbs. heavier (they never knew me before the twins BTW) and I know I didn't exactly watch my food intake while I was pregnant. I was on bedrest for 3.5 months for PTL, but myself on a high protein, high calorie, high carb diet so that could put weight on my girls, and they STILL only came out at barely 5lbs. each.... narrowly escaping time in the NICU.

The kicker?? In my line of work, it's NOT considered discrimination to tell a person that. Our careers are centered around Physical fitness (military) I GET that, I used to score 87% and up on my Physical fitness tests (they DO know that) and worked out 6 days/week. We do, however, get 6 mos. PP to get back into shape. During that 6 mos period, they should NOT be allowed to hold anything against you, weight wise, or even so much as MENTION it to you about your weight. Seriously. We are already vulnerable enough to PPD, now you're going to shoot down our self-esteem until it's thru the freagin gutter??
Oh, and BTW, the position won't be open for another 2 years. it's a 2 yr. guaranteed slot.

So, I either have FOUR WEEKS, or two years, to get back into shape. And who the heck knows if my 'twin skin' will ever actually disappear?? I might be forever 'blessed' with an extra 6 inches around my middle that I can not control, no matter what amount of diet/excercise program I follow....

Thanks for listening. I'm so distraught (bordering on depressed) right now......

:hug99: I'm so sorry. That just doesn't seem right. I'm sorry you are having to deal with this. The side effects of having kids should not be a cause for discipline!

Oh my gosh that's awful. Just keep that chin up and do the best you can! Don't let them beat you up, you are now a proud mommy of twins!

Oh my gosh, that's awful! It takes time to get rid of that weight. My girls are 13 months and I'm down to 2 more pounds to go to get to pre-preg weight. But it took a lot of work and motivation and I just did not have that last summer when the girls were small. It's all about surviving when they are little!

    Hang in there.

Oh, that's terrible. :hug99: Like the last thing you need to be worrying about now when you have 2 little ones is the shape you need to hurry up and get back in for your job. I only hit the gym for the first time last night, I can't imagine trying before!

Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I can't imagine what you must be going through. It's hard enough dealing with all the weird stuff that happens in pp, but to deal with the pressure of losing your weight so quickly, too? Wow...I'm so sorry! :hug99:
