So the kids have been cruising forever and jake has been taking steps for a quite awhile. He recently started 'walking' unassisted, but no more than 8-10 steps (give or take).

But they both can walk pushing these little trucks they got for their birthday.

So is "walking" when they can walk without pushing something? Or do I have two walkers?

My opinion is walking "unassisted". They just go at their own little paces, though, don't they. One day you'll look at them and say, wow, when did you get so good at walking?

I counted it when they made the leap from 1-2 steps between objects to taking many steps across the room unassisted. Once that happened, they progressed quickly to making turns, stopping and starting, picking things up, etc. It's such a fun stage!

I agree with unassissted also. Emma was walking with toys for a while but couldn't even take one step on her own. It sounds like your babes are right there though!!

I would say unassisted also. My girls "cruised" for a short time really - then were off. 8-10 steps at first - the PLUNK on their bottoms. But when it did happen - it happened quick! Carley was dooing the 8-10 step thing Chritsmas eve - Christmas Day she was walking the length of the room etc. and would only fall if she tripped over something. Within 2 days, neither girl was crawling anymore. A whole new world once they start walking......

thanks - that was my feeling as well.

I'm not sure why Jake hasn't taken off with the walking...but i'll keep everyone posted.

    Thanks for chiming in.
