My boys recently (finally!) decided that they enjoy sleeping on their bellies. On the mornings that they have spent the entire night on their bellies, they are SOAKED up to their necks. Pajamas are soaked, onesie is soaked, sheets are soaked, etc. It only happens when they sleep the whole night on their bellies. I'm assuming it has something to do with the way the pee is "routed". :D They are almost 22lbs and at night they wear the size 5 Huggies - I've tried size 5 Luvs which we had a lot of luck with at night before - but so far, they soak through no matter what.

Anyone have any tips, tricks, advice? I'm getting sick of changing sheets every day!

    Thanks!

My boys are major pee boys in the night. We use size 5 overnight diapers and they still were peeing through every night. Finally I went to the drug store and figured there must be something I can stick in their diapers that would help. I found this cotton stuff by the bandaids that is meant to wrap around a wound. It comes in a big roll. I cut it into squares and put it in the front of their diapers. I have had a few little wet spots on the side of onesies but they haven't peed through since. The bad thing is that it can leave little white cotton pieces on their bits. I do have to say I love it though because it saves me from washing the sheets everyday. I will see if I can find out what it's called....I'll post again if I can find it online.

Have you tried Huggies Overnight diapers? My girls would wake up completely soaked unless we used those.

We used to have this issue with DS as well, I found that doing size 5 huggies overnights (he wears 4's during the day) really helped but the biggest thing is to pull it up really high in the front, it looks a little goofy but we haven't had one leak since we started doing that. Getting off bottles helped us too b/c now he's a little bit less of a heavy wetter at night b/c his overall evening liquid consumption decreased.

This has been a problem for us for awhile now. I haven't found a solution yet. We have tried everything! I have decided to cut the amount of liquid they drink before bed in half. We will be starting tomorrow night b/c I going out tonight (DH can't handle a change like this alone). Not sure if it will work but it does make sense in my head....

we were having this problem as well and I think I tried every brand and size diaper possible. Nothing worked. How long before bed are they getting liquid? The only thing that worked for us was instead of them getting milk right before bed, I started giving them milk right after dinner(5:15ish) and then changing their diaper again right before bed which is 6:30pm. This is literally the ONLY thing that has worked for us and sometimes I forget to give them their milk right after dinner and it never fails, they wake up wet. I hope that makes sense. Maybe it will work for you? Good luck! I know how annoying it is!

We had the same problem with Jack. We have had great results with the following: One size up in Huggies Overnights and put the diaper higher in the front than the back (for belly sleepers). If we follow this we stay contained!

i would suggest the size 5 huggies overnites as well.

recently DS has started soakin thru those as well (this am, again, actually) and since diaper doublers are gone, i'll have to give the cotton roll a shot.

    good luck.

Thank you, Everyone! You have all given me some great suggestions - now I can just start with one and go down the list and hopefully something will work for my two. They do have a sippy cup of about 4oz of milk right before bed, so I probably need to move that an hour or so earlier for starters. Thanks again!! :)

We are currently soaking through Huggies Overnites size 5's and they dont get anything before bed except for the tub water they drink :umm:. I havent been able to find a diaper that works. However, I took the idea from the diaper doubler and bought overnight women's super absorbent maxi pads and put one in his diaper every night. Havent had a leak since. GL on your search.

I'll have to add this to my list of things to try. Who would have thought a maxi pad could serve a dual purpose! Thanks for the suggestion!!

I was going to suggest the size up overnights and a diaper doubler. Also if you can put a sheet protector on the mattress, a sheet than a sheet protector over that and another sheet on top. I learned this from heathertwins early on and it was so easy if they did wake in the night wet to just lift off the top sheet and protector and have the bed ready to go without having to take apart to put another sheet on! GL

OH and I also found with DS that if I folded the diaper at the top that helped eliminate his leaks.

Make sure the weenie is pointing down! And fold the diaper top in... Just a couple more ideas for ya!

My boy does this too. I put him in a diaper, then i put a pull-up OVER that. The pull-up catches whatever leaks over. He wakes up dry now for my every morning.
