i have one LO in particular who constantly wakes up mid-nap.
he has to be rocked back to sleep and then he continues sleeping. i can't let him just cry bc then he'll wake his brother. any ideas on what i should do? i still rock them to sleep and would like to start just putting them down, instead.

I did CIO with both at the same time, in the same crib, and it worked out just fine. Other than that, here is a link to the no cry sleep solutions section of the FY handbook. There is a link there to suggestions from parents here at TS who have had success with these methods as well. Maybe you could get some solutions about what might work for you.

I would work on teaching them to fall asleep on their own so you dont have to rock them. I think he is waking up and needing you to get him back to sleep.

I would start with the morning nap when they are really tired and lay them down and try and help soothe them with patting their backs or singing to them.

they were able to get to sleep on their own (for the most part) around christmas time. then they got sick and got used to the rocking (or so i think.)
i will try soothing them again once they get better from being sick. they are getting too heavy at 9 months, lol!
