I have no idea what else to do. I know that this was supposed to be a phase since they are learning new skills but it's driving me crazy b/c I don't know if it's something I'm doing ...Noah is waking up many times during the night..he used to sleep straight thru and then he started rolling over and that was it. But it's not like he's rolling onto his tummy and getting stuck...last night he went to bed at 630..he fell right to sleep...he woke up whining and then yelling about 730 then about 6-7 more times before 12!!! My husband gave him tylenol but an hour later he started again...I went in so many times giving him his binky, shhh 'ing him, giving him a blankie, turning on his mobile, letting him cio for a little while that I finally gave up, picked him up and slept with him in the chair. He did not wake once crying while I held him..however he seemed to be restless...While he was in his crib "sleeping" he would be yelling but his eyes were closed so clearly he was tired. Any advice would be greatly appreciated...it seems like he's getting worse. He has no teeth yet..nothing looks red or swollen. When this first started a month or two ago he would get stuck on his tummy or be giggling and rolling when we went in..now i don't know what is going on.
He takes about 3 naps a day ranging from 30 min- 1 hour each.

:hug99: Do you think it's teeth? I would try Motrin instead of Tylenol. I think that it works better on teething pain, and it lasts longer. I hope it gets better for you soon. :hug99:

It sounds like he may be restless because of all that's going on in his mind, but it also sounds like he's wanting your attention since he's not crying when you hold him. Another post on here was asking about teething remedies, and teething tablets were recommended. I would try those before Motrin to make sure it is teething. If it's not teething, I'd suggest trying different sleep solutions to see what works. We used CIO where we would not go in at all - not to replace their pacifier or soothe. It took 3 days and a lot of crying. We've fallen off the wagon at different times because both boys had surgery, but once we got through those times, we'd do CIO again, and then it only takes 1 night to get them back on track. If you don't want to do CIO, there are other sleep solutions out there. The book I used - Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child - has several approaches to try. Good luck. I know how hard it is to try to figure out what's going on with them.

Do you think it is becoming a habit? You may want to give Motrin, make sure they have full tummies and clean diapers, and then don't go in until morning. It may be best to just let him cry and soothe himself. Good luck.

it could be habit now..sometimes as soon as I walk in he turns away and seems to fall back to sleep...now last night he only woke up 3 times. 1 time I went in b.c he was screaming and everything I did seemed to make it worse so I just told him night night and it's ok and walked out. He eventually stopped. I was worried about trying CIO b/c of waking up his brother in the same room. Although if he didn't wake last night he really shouldn't. Thanks..will also try the teething tabs
