First off sorry this is kinda all over the place rant. My girls will be 4mos in a week and a half. They used to go down between 7-730,sleep until about 3-4am, and wake up at 6am. Well they are back to waking twice a night! They get up around 1-2, 3-4, and then 6-7. Plus Maddie is all smiles and wants to play when she wakes up at 4am. Allie usually falls right back to sleep once she gets her bottles. I have been propping M's bottle and sitting where she can't see me thinking maybe she just wants me to hold her. Nope. She is still all smiles, laughs, stretching, playing once she's done. I don't wake one when the other wakes but I'm going to have to start. I have three other kids but at this point they were all STTN. I don't know what to do. I don't even care about STTN at this point. Just one night feeding would be nice. Does it get better once their on solids? We go to the pedi on the 8th which I'm sure we'll get the green light for solids. I am hoping that might help. I just feel so out of control. I am an OCD type that lives off schedules and with the twins I seriously just relaxed and kinda gone with the flow- been in survival mode this whole time. Well I feel like we NEED some type of schedule. I have felt like this for a while but keep telling myself they're little I need to chill but I really think it could help us all! I don't even keep track for when they sleep or eat. I think they take seven bottles a day and take three naps. I am going to keep a log over the next few days and see if there is any type of consistancy and try some type of schedule from there. UGH sorry I said this would be all over the place rant. Everything just feel out of control!!!!

How much are they getting in their bottles? Do they seem like they want more when they are done? I know at that age my boys were drinking 7oz of milk every 2.5-3 hrs, but they SSTN. They got up at 6am and ate every 2.5-3 hrs until about 9pm down by 10pm. Could be just a phase too, they are getting older and more aware. Does she cry if you put her back to her bed? She might just play until she falls asleep. Sorry if I wasnt much help.

Oh I have this same problem!! Except I don't feed them both times they wake up, only once. They don't seem to mind. They really aren't hungry that first time. My two wake areound 12:30 and then 2:30. They are about a half hour off of each other. They were sleeping soundly till 3:30 for DD and 4;30 for DS. They were waking at 7:30 but now it's 6:00-6:30. Ad the play thing---ugh. I've tried feeding more, but it doesn't help. Mine are also 4 months. dS gets rice cereal for breakfast but DD won't take it. Any advice would be great!!!

Maddie might be ready for more during the day. They drink 5-6ozs each bottle. Allie leans more towards 5oz and Maddie usually finishes off a bottle but not always. In the middle of the night they usually only take 4ozs. I offer them 6ozs just in case. They actually did better last night. They slept from 8 until 3 and both ate at the same time. Then they went back to sleep until 6ish. Hopefully it was just a phase. When Maddie is up after a bottle she is content but just wants to be held. If I pick her up she is happy. If I put her back down she cries. She sleeps in her swing all the time so she isn't laying flat back. I have tried swaddling and not swaddled in the crib as well and she isn't having it. She just wants to be held and play. It's sweet but I can't sit up all night either. Hopefully things will continue like last night and we are back on track.

Glad you had a better night, hopefully it will continue for you. Does Maddie have reflux? Just curious as she sleeps in her swing.

It's the only way I could get her to sleep. I did whatever I could to make them sleep. Maddie slept in her swing and Allie in her bouncer. Over the last week I have cut them off the swing/bouncer. They sleep in their crib now. Maddie is swaddled and Allie sleeps on her belly in a sleep sac or just in her sleeper. I think Allie has been sleeping better too. They typically just get up at 5am but sometimes Allie is up at 1am. But I think we're making some progress.
