Wagons

This might sound stupid but where does everyone use their wagons? My boys LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the wagon and if it were up to me I would just never use a stroller again. However there are some places I just can't see myself wheeling the wagon into :lol: Yesterday we did the MS walk, they were in the wagon contently for close to two hours and did not start to get squirmy once. After the walk me and DH and the boys went to Target and we pretty much had to rush through the shopping because we had the boys in the cart and they were sooooo bad. Trying to climb out, pulling clothes of the racks, we couldn't even put anything in the cart because they would just throw it back out. Dh said we should have brought the wagon in (that's what got me thinking) would taking the wagon into a place like Target be wierd? I don't usually see people in public places with their kids in a wagon other than maybe the zoo. Mine really hate being in a stroller otherwise this wouldn't even be an issue

 

I only use our wagons outside, but I would definitely try it in Target if I thought I could shop in peace. I say "go for it!" :good:

I have seen them in the malls on one or two occasions.

 

Hey, I too say go for it in Target if it keeps the kids at bay. I used my wagon for everything except stores. Meaning...walks, any kind of activity (zoo, fair, festivals), school, to/from people's houses. It was easier than the stroller to load and unload, too.

 

I would totally try it at Target, the mall, etc. if I thought it would work. I can't imagine anyone will think twice about it.

I have one with seat belts, but mine won't sit in it for any extended period of time. I got it just before Halloween to use for trick-or-treating, and it worked well for that. I also use it to go to the neighbor's house to play, or for just a short walk. The kids like to just play with it in the back yard, too, and they haul "stuff" around.

K&K are outgrowing our double umbrella stroller, but we don't have a jogging stroller or anything else, so I'm still debating what to get...

 

If they are peaceful in there, then use it everywhere!! One thing to think about with Wal-Mart, Target, etc...I believe it was a TS member that got stopped leaving one of those stores one time because they were questioning whether or not she paid for the wagon. So just make sure they know when you're coming in with it. :good:

 

I thought about this several times too thanks for posting. Mine love their wagon and I too had doubt if it was "appropriate" to take anywhere but outside venues. HMMM, I may just have to try it.

 

At the zoo, the farmer's market, going for walks along paved bike paths... We do still use the stroller a lot, but the wagon is good for longer outings where the kids are going to want to get in & out, and when they want to be able to see around them.

I'd use it indoors if I saw any need for it, though I don't find it that easy to maneuver. But if it keeps your kids happy in stores, it's worth whatever hassle it might be!

 

I use it for EVERYTHING! I have 2 in High School also, so we are there ALOT. I use it for track meets, at the mall, in ANY store, some restraunts (depends on what works best). My guys love ours. We have the Step 2 with the two seatbelts. I use it to take the boys to the car, then put it in the back of the van. I use it to get them out and back in the house. We used it at the Relay for Life walk a couple of weeks ago. Soccer games. and in 2 weeks I will be using it at my son's High School Graduation! (that makes me cry just thinking about it!)



PS and the park! It is great for getting them to and from the car/playground! Best part is it can be hosed off after ice cream!

 

Why are wagons so much more fun? We all love our wagon. We basically use it only for outdoor play at or around our house, walks, etc. But, if I were you and you can haul your wagon easily, I would bring it everywhere.
