Vtech Mobigo or Leapster Explorer

The Christmas thread has me thinking about the Leapster Explorer. I noticed the Mobigo online. Any one with advice on either.

 

I have no experience with the Mobigo, but the Explorer is very cool. The games are very educational & you can also download books and educational videos (like the Leapfrog Letter Factory). L&L LOVE theirs and I have even had to take them away from the older kids a few times so that L&L could play with them. All 3 older kids were enjoying the games. :lol:

 

I saw the MobiGo and I have decided to go with the leapster as well. I'm not a big fan of the toys that I have gotten that were VTech, but have always been satisfied with leapfrog, so I'm going that route.

 

in my experience vtech has poor graphics. I bought my girls explorers for their bday

 

I've read through some reviews of both products, and from what I've read, it seems that the Vtech Mobigo is geared only slightly more towards younger children (2 & 3 year olds can play with it) compared to the Leapster. I do like that the Mobigo has a full qwerty keyboard.

We are getting the kids the Leapster Explorers for Christmas. Overall, I found that they had more favorable reviews.

we just got the kids the leapster explorers...so far they like them..we only got two games downloaded for them to play with...haven't looked into it further. fairly easy to use...good graphics.
