    So I have 2 sick babies...AGAIN!!
I took both to the doctor yesterday because Ellie was running a fever. I only took Will along because, hey I'm going to the doctor why not. Well they couldn't find anything wrong with Ellie, said it was a virus. but they found that Will has an ear infection and he was put on antibiotics. He had a fever too. So later in the day he threw up one time and then seemed fine. Still had fever and fussiness today but nothing too too bad. Ellie on the other hand seemed totally fine yesterday and today. Low fever but nothing extreme. Neither has been eating normally- like maybe 14-18 ounces per day. I tried to feed Ellie her last bottle at 7:30 and she refused to eat. Was happy, playing etc, and then started vomiting. She threw up 3 times in like a 10 minute period of time. Poor little thing, it was the saddest thing I've ever seen. She did not seem hot, just very tired and drained after. So I didn't attempt to feed her and put her down. She's been asleep since. We put him down at the same time and he has been restlessly sleeping but sleeping.
So here are my questions, I'm worried because she threw up alot and didn't really eat all that much today. how do I know if she gets dyhedrated? Is there something else i should be giving her if she won't eat her bottles?
Vomiting only lasts 24 hours right?
I don't want to call the doctor again, but I've never dealt with this so I'm nervous. Any advice would be great.

I say call the doctor again! I know you may sound like a nutty mom, but you are not and have every right to make yourself feel better by calling the doctor if your kid is vomiting. I know I would!

Poor babes and you - puking and sickness and fever - not nice. Max was the same for a couple of days and he was tested for dehydration but was fine so I wouldn't worry about that. Although if she continues vomiting more than a day I would take her back to the drs. Don't worry on the food front either - neither of mine eat much when they are sick - which has been a lot over the last couple of months - am sick of it! And even now they both have coughs and are snotty again!!!

Hope they are feeling better soon! And don't worry about calling the drs if you want to ask something - that's what they are there for!

No milk!!! Dont give them any milk. Are they eating solids yet? Apples and rice are good. Also try giving them some pedialite. If you have to use a medicine dropper and drop little bits at a time. My poor babies had the stomach flu last year and it was horrible. I made it worse by giving them milk. then i learned not to give them any milk.

Call the Dr. they should be able to give you more suggestions. They ended up giving me anti vomiting pills for DS because i had to take him to the ER. I was there for 3 hours and he threw up like 12 times. until they gave him a shot of the anti vomiting meds.

 They will get better. I know its sad to watch your little tiny babies be so sick!

I´d call the doctor asap you´ll feel much better. I would offer some water with pedialite as the PP suggested but not milk.

I hope they get better asap, it´s sad seeing your little ones ill.

When my little girl, at 6 months puked, I called in to the nurseline and was told that my breastmilk was fine for her to drink to stay hydrated. I hope they feel better soon. Puking babies are no fun.

At that age, they may still want you to offer formula because that is their only source of nutrition. I would call the Ped and let them know about the vomiting if it continues today and check to see if you can offer Pedialyte. As for dehydration signs to look for would be fewer or no wet diapers or sunken soft spot and/or eyes. I hope they both feel better soon.
