For those who give their little ones vitamins, which kind do you give. The boys pediatrician gave the ok to start giving them if we want. Looked at the store the other day and there are a million kinds out there. Do you give the liquid drops? Do you give the gummy kind? Do you give the regular chewable? How do you know what brand? Didn't know it would be such a hard choice LOL

Our pediatrician recommended the Enfamil Poly Vi Sol drops with iron (because Sophia's iron was low). That being said, the stuff smells horrible and I imagine it tastes horrible!
They are in dropper form and our kids do take it but not happily. I am hoping when we go to the pedi next week, there is something else more flavorful that they can take for vitamins!

I was looking the other day because we got the suggestion from our ped to start them on vitamins. I was leaning towards the My First Flintstones vitamins, but package says "2 and Up." So now I'm not sure. I may do the drops until they are 2 and then switch to the Flintstones.

The girls pedi prescribed them a vitamin after the 9 month appt. It's some sort of poly-something drop that I put in their sippy cups once a day. Our water has no flouride so it gives them some flouride and is also a multi-vitamin.

We use Yummi Bears, which I can find at Whole Foods. The boys love them.

Great thread, Dianna! I'd love to start mine on a vitamin.

We do prescription drops... Poly Vi Flur. I put it in their morning milk sippy. The dentist today was happy they were getting those drops with fluride.

Around 18 months we started giving ours My First Flintstone's. They are smaller than the regular ones.

We do Polyvisol with Iron. It's a liquid that you can get at Walgreens, Target, etc. It smells horrible, so I put it in about 4 oz of straight juice. They drink it down with no problems. They've been on this since 12 months at the recommendation of their pediatrician. Actually, this is the same stuff they took from 0-6 months since they were preemies and needed to build up their iron stores.

Our ped recommended the gummy vitamins, and I was shocked. How can they chew those? I'd love to know if they were soft gummy bears and not the Hasbro type kind before I buy an enormous jug. I'll have to check out the First Flintstones. If those don't work, I'm going to do the drops.

The Yummi Bears that we use are quite soft and our boys easily chew them. They have been getting them since about 15 months old and love their morning "bia-minn". Jacob has about 12 teeth now, but only had 6 when we started with them and he did fine. Jack has had a full mouth for the longest time.
