Hi there! I'm confused about what to do about the baby monitor situation....

I registered for a dual audio monitor on BabysRus.... but my friends (mothers of single babies) are saying that Video Monitors are better. However, I can't find one that has a dual baby option for twins!

My twins will be sharing a room, but will have seperate cribs. Does anyone with experience have any advice? Should we get 2 video monitors versus the single dual audio monitor? Or is it really necessary?

    Help!

With my son I loved the video monitor but I also cant find a dual camera virsion, but my cousin had two kids in seperate rooms and ended up just using security type camera's hooked up to a tv....looks the same. If I cant find a dual camera I might copy her idea.

With my son I also had the movement sensor monitor that i used as a regular sound monitor when I was walking around the house and at night as the movement sensor.... I must say I LOVED IT! I was terrified of sids after a friend lost her infant. the monitor definatly helped me sleep at night and I have boughten two already....another thing I wish they had twin versions of, but i could only find the monitor with one sensor pad and to me it was worth buying two so I did.

We got two video monitors that also came with a monitor that was just audio. :good: For me, this was a life saver because I was obsessed with seeing them once they were out of our room. I liked that I could see if they were moving around or whatever. Then I had the audio one to keep downstairs with me when they are napping. :good:

This is awesome! I don't think they had this when I originally registered... I will have to make some adjustments! Thanks for posting the link!

I decided not to go with the video monitor after a friend of mine with twins said she had one and never slept bc she just sat and watched the monitor all night and would not recommend it at all. But I did register for the movement sensor http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2343185. Another one of my friends said I HAD to get it bc there is a mat you lay under their mattress and it alarms you if they have quit breathing.

That's a great idea! Thanks, I didn't even know this sort of thing existed. I guess you would need to get 2 of them for twins?

If you are planning on keeping them in the same crib for a while I would just start out with one because you don't need two for one crib since it monitors the whole crib. And I'm not sure how long we will keep them in the same crib for so for now I am only getting one.
