    Help - I'm freaking out a bit. I did a FET on 9/8. They transfered 3 "perfect" 3-day embryos. 11 days later, or 14 DPO, I had a positive Beta of 911. Wow. Today, I had my second beta (17 DPO or 14dp3dt) and it was 3832! The nurse said she is pleased with my numbers and it is an excellent rise. I will go in for my first u/s next Wednesday at 5.5weeks. Questions:

    1)Has anyone had similar betas and if so, would you share? Was it one, two, or three babies?

    2) Should I be concerned with a molar preganacy? Can you have a molar pregnancy with FETs? They know that the eggs were fertilized by one sperm and were growing well, so is there anyway they could become a molar?

    3) Is there any other potential risk for high beta numbers??? I want to be happy but I keep thinking if things are this high - perhaps something could be wrong.

    Please help me with info. Thank you!

    Hi! I just want to Welcome you and tell you Congrats! I never had any numbers taken, because I didn't find out until 19 weeks along.

    :wavey: and welcome to twinstuff. I know this is easier said then done, but try not to think of the what if's , especially if the what if's are the molar pregnancy and get you worried. :hug: Until the u/s you won't know anything. :hug: At 14dpo I had a number around 350 and two days later it was 980ish, around there somewhere and it was twins. :) But the nurse also advised me that high numbers don't always mean twins just like low numbers don't mean only one. Keep us posted on the u/s results and try not to overwhelm yourself until you get the u/s.

    Welcome to TS and congrats on your pregnancy!!!!!

    Mine weren't frozen but I had 2 blasts transfered on day 5. I had my beta 13 days later and it was 900+. My next beta was at 20 days after transfer and was 18,000+ and then another beta at 27 days after transfer was 27,000+.

    I knew two perfect blasts were transferred based on the pictures I had and research I did. I also somehow knew I was pregnant with twins by the end of my bedrest. My ultrasounds were at 7 weeks and there were two there one with a faint heartbeat, at 8 weeks we had 2 good heartbeats and no issues.

    Hi! Wow! Very high numbers! We got pregnant with twins via our first IVF cycle (transfered 2 embryos on day 5). Our first test (14 DPO) was 460 and then 2 days later the numbers were 1160. The nurse told me the same thing... that they were very pleased with the numbers. When I asked her if it could be twins, she said those numbers made her very suspicious of twins. :) It was the longest 2 weeks EVER to make it to our 6 week ultrasound but we were so excited to see 2 beating hearts! They even thought they might see a third sac and that definitely freaked us out!!!! In the end, it was just 2. :)

    I wish you the best of luck and patience waiting. It sounds like you are off to a great start though!!! :) Please update us when you get news!

    My numbers (I've only had betas done in the last 2 pregnancies):

    Singleton, single blast, fresh transfer
    6dp5dt = 31
    9dp5dt = 178
    14dp5dt = 2291
    16dp5dt = 5504

    Twins, FET, both 8 celled
    13dp3dt = 717
    15dp3dt = 1506

    I would think it's pretty likely you have twins, and maybe even triplets, but the numbers can be so deceiving. If you look at my numbers, the singleton's numbers were very high for just one, and there was no sign of an empty sac or anything at the 6 week ultrasound to indicate that the embryo had split. For me, the numbers are almost the same in each pregnancy.

    10dpo - 65
    12dpo - 253

    Then at 5w4d my numbers were with in the normal "singleton" range, but a u/s showed twins.

    With DD they suspected twins because of my elevated HCG but the u/s showed singleton :) This time they "suspect" a singleton in the end because of my average HCG's.

    I've learned not to base my life on HCG's. BUT you're do sound like you could definitly be having twins!!!

    Wow those are some high numbers. I would personally be surprised to see just one in there.

    Mine were
    12dpo 346
    15dpo 1135

    I was pg with quads. We didn't do anymore betas after that. Can't wait to hear how your u/s goes!! Good luck.
    (I wouldn't worry about a molar from what I understand they are much higher than that)
    I did see one woman whose numbers were way higher than mine and I assumed she was having at least triplets and it was just one baby. Really surprised everyone following her story since her numbers were so high. Guess ya never know!

    Ditto everyone else, they are pretty high but the #'s are really no gaurantee's of how many are in there! :hug:

    My dd's beta's:
    16dpIUI ~ 436, Prog 36
    23dpIUI ~ 5708
    We wondered if it was twins, but it was just a healthy singleton.

    My twins beta's:
    18dpIUI ~ 915, Prog 89
    22dpIUI ~ 4290
    Again we wondered about twins, but I had fairly high beta's with my singleton so I never dreamed it was twins!
