I think some shirts have shrunk in length. They aren't very high quality. FYI Old Navy and Gap carry plus size maternity tops that are HUGE! Old Navy is cheaper. You find them online.

XL in Maternity Clothes is really not a true XL - there's no way - I'm 5 feet - and when I was pregnant my shirts would rise up. I really think that Maternity clothes needs to be made bigger and LONGER!!!

When I was pregnant - there was a line of people on this forum complaining about the same thing. Hang in there! :)

I have found that Motherhood cotton t-shirts DO shrink, I made the mistake of washing and drying a load of maternity clothes from my last pregnancy and forgot that very important fact  now I need to buy some new t-shirts.
I find that the GAP stuff washes the best and and really fits well. You can get some really cheap stuff on-line like shirts for 6.99 and 11.99. This being my 3rd and final pregnancy I don't want to buy much, but most of my Motherhood stuff has started to fall apart or I shrunk it! Target stuff washes well, but I feel like it is short and a little too fitted in arms and thighs for my liking. I just hate to buy anything more since I'm not working, but I don't want to look like a total slob in ripped clothes with my belly hanging out Ugghhhh!! WOW I guess I need to vent on this topic as well  Thanks.

ditto! my only consulation is that that it'll be over pretty soon. I am getting tired of the same 2 pair of pants and 3 tops that fit. And since we know (as far as we can help it) that this is my last pg, I don't have the added excuse that I could wear newer stuff again.

    I feel your pain sister!!

I gave up on half the maternity shirts out there. <_< The only thing I've found that even slightly fits me is the t-shirts from old navy-not maternity but the XXXL.

As I got into the 30 and up weeks, all I could wear were stretch pants, big shirts and sneakers.

I am basically wearing the same two or three things over and over again. I am not working and do not plan on having more kids, so I am not going to buy anything else for the last 6-7 weeks. I just hope I don't grow too much larger. I have been growing quite a bit lately. I think it is just par for the course. I agree with other PP though, some of the clothes do shrink, the material is not the best quality. Hang in.

I don't understand why they can't make maternity shirts just a WEEEEE bit longer in the front. I hate feeling air on my belly where my shirt and pants don't meet. During my son's pregnancy, I didn't completely outgrow all of my clothes until the last two weeks - I ended up wearing hubby's polos to work (he wears a men's XXL!). This time, I am having trouble with ALL of my leftover maternity shirts, and I'm only 27 weeks! I feel like going out and buying a jumbo black tube top and just keeping it around my belly until the end.

My bigger pet peeve about clothes, though, is maternity pants just will not stay up! I am constantly tugging them up all day long. It makes me crazy! If I were more sewing-saavy, I would put drawstrings in all my pants.

Shhhhhh... just between you and me but I once wore black maternity shorts with black "granny" maternity underwear because my shirt wouldn't reach my shorts and nobody said a word about it :rotflmbo: I do have one shirt that made it all of the way through still long enough in front and a second that was passable but there comes a point when it seems ridiculous to buy more clothes knowing you might go into labor any day. Sadly for me, that meant a wardrobe of two outfits for SEVEN WEEKS

I did tube tops until they got too short... Then I bought a tummy sleeve at Motherhood. Now I make my own tummy covers. Takes about a yard of fabric some thread and about 10 minutes to sew. They will make nice tummy covers for NIP down the road, cover up that twin skin!
