We have been looking for a new minivan/SUV that would work for us. We already have 2 boys, one in a carseat. Our twins will need to be in the infant carriers with the base that is attached to the seat. That means you cannot fold the seat forward to get the others in the back. We looked a a few MV's that had a small isle on the side or between the 2 seats in the center row but it is almost impossible to reach back to put the seatbelt on the one in the carseat.

Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions???

I know that the 2007 Ford Expedition EL have that middle asile like a mini-van. They are really nice my DH gave me one for V-Day!!! It's so nice and big, plenty of room for lots of babies

We have the Honda Odyssey and it holds the 4 boys, 3 in carseats wonderfully. We pushed the middle row seat together for the twins and the other carseat is in the very back and easy for me and the kids to get to. The two older boys sit in the back row and there is even room for one more!

I absolutely love my expedition. I think I would put your 2 older in the very back and the infant carriers in the middle. the 2 infant seats and bases would fit on the seat that does not fold down and leave the fold down seat available for access to the backseat. I will be putting 3 carseats across the middle seat and they fit perfect. I have actually transported 5 in carseats in it before and it worked great.

We have a Nissan Pathfinder with a 3rd row seat and are planning to put the infant seats in the middle--one on a door and one in the middle, to leave the other door seat fold down access to the back...but my step-sons are 13 and 9 year olds, so we just have to worry about someone's butt fitting with the carseat, and not another toddler or booster seat. I'm thinking the amount of times we actually ALL go somewhere might not be SO often, so hopefully it won't be a problem. [IMG]

When we found out we were expecting twins, we bought a 2007 Chevy Suburban. We have a 6 year old & a 3 year old who both ride in booster seats and the twins are going to use the rear-facing convertible seats from the start. We just put the two big girls in the 3rd row seats and put the twins in the middle. The seat by the passenger door folds up with the touch of a button which makes it really easy to get the kids out of the very back. We LOVE it!!

I have a GMC Jimmy which I thought would be too small for 3 carseats, but we tried them all in the back seat and it worked

How old is your oldest? We'll have a similar situation in our minivan, but our oldest helps her brother with his seatbelt.

I have a Nissan Armada and have 3 in car seats. Right now the twins are in the middle row, window and center. The other window seat is folded forward and up against the passenger seat. I am able to get in that door and buckle older DS into his seat in the back row. That is the new arrangement.

Until 2 weeks ago, I had older DS in the window seat behind the driver. The other two middle row seats were folded down and forward up against the front row. This created a large open space in the center of the car for me to crawl artound. It was very roomy and enough to help the twins into their seats in the back row, 1 on each side. HTH

We just got a Kia Sedona (so sad to get a minivan and give up my station wagon) but we really like it. there's an aisle in the middle I can get down but what I'm planning on doing is having my 5 year old buckle his 3 year old brother in the back so I'm not going back there everytime.

We looked at a LOT of minivans, and really liked the Honda Odessey as well b/c the middle seat can be pushed together - but it was just way out our price range.

    Good luck!

we have been looking for a long time... with my son I got a suburban... because I could haul him & all my friends & their kids around. I LOVE my suburban, but I am short 5'4" & with a seat in the middle or back it requires me climbing up & into it. We didn't plan on replacing it so soon because with 2 kidos I could put them each at a door seat & not have to climb in. For over a year we have been talking about a mini-van cause I have the biggest suburban they ever made & it gets nasty gas milage. Well when we found out we were having twins we said, nope, were getting a van NOW. For over a year I have looked into many vans... my favorites are the Dodge Grand Caravan, Nissan Quest & Honda Odessey. The problem with the Nissan & Honda is that to get any options & on the Honda to get the extended wheel base (room behind the 3rd row seat) we would have to pay more & we just couldn't afford it when we could get a fully loaded Dodge Grand Caravan with all the power options & stow n go seating for less!

Anyways we have had it for a while now & are VERY pleased. Yes I miss my truck, but the van is so comfortable & has SO much more cargo space then most the SUV's with the 3rd row (except the suburban & expedition). I have taken my friend boys with me to town (one is 13 months & one 3.5 yr) along with my 19 month old & it is actually easy to reach over the quad seat & buckle the toddler in the 3rd row. I say take a dayy & go test stuff out!!!!! That is the only way you will really know what fits for YOU.

All the Odysseys are the same wheelbase, as will be the new '08 Dodge/Chryslers.
