I went to the Dr. an hour ago. The baby is head down, and I am starting to thin out, and am 1-2 cm dialted.

    ;)

For anyone whos had natural childbirth, I imagine this is a good thing?? The only thing I have heard is this could last until my due date, or it could happen tomorrow...now way of knowing!

Please god, let him come soon!

That's great! At 38 weeks, it looks promising! I'll definitely keep my fingers crossed for you. Being able to have a VBAC was one of the best experiences of my life and I'm so glad I went for it, and was able to do it.

It sounds like all systems are go and you could have this little boy any day now. You couldn't have asked for conditions any better than these for a VBAC...head down, cervix nicely thinning on time, beginning to dilate. I think it sounds like you are good to go (and I have a hunch you will go within the week!).
    Good luck!

yahoo.... I'm hoping to vbac in november!! don't get too frustrated if you make it to your due date though...are your docs going to let you go past your due date???.. Mine are going to let me go until 41-42 weeks if things last that long...takes the pressure off (although not the frustration!! LOL!)

Congratulations! I have no experience with vaginal childbirth (I'm going to have a repeat c/s) but it sounds like you are doing great. What is your actual due date?

That is awesome. You can see from my ticker I did a VBAC with Andrew and to this day was the best experiences I have ever had. He however was not cooperating so I'm glad your little guy is. I was only a finger tip dilated all the way up to 39 weeks and 3 days. I went in the day before to see if they would strip my membranes in hopes and getting me going since I was having contractions anyway. They couldn't and I was scheduled for a c-section the next morning. The morning of my section my water broke! So when I got to the hospital they asked me if I wanted the section and I said no way. I proceeded to labor the rest of the day and had my son. It was an amazing experience. I know how long those last days are. I hope he comes soon.

Good luck. I hope it goes the way you want. Sounds like the baby is cooperating.

I have a question for those of you who were able to have a VBAC and say it was an amazing experience. Personally, it scares me to not have a c-section...I feel like I'm a big baby and don't want to have any of the pain and the unknown of how long it will take, complications, etc. What is it that made this such an amazing experience for you? I have plenty of time to think about this and consider my options as I'm only six weeks along so I wanted to hear from you guys to understand what I'd be missing out on if I just elected to have another c-section.

I pray that you are able to have a Vbac!! My Vbac was unbelievable!! Ellen to answer your questions you really don't know what will happen during vaghinal childbirth, some people give birth within 1 hour of their water breaking, others (such as myself) give birth 13 hours after their water breaks. I will be honest and say after my water broke the contractions I had were a pain that were out of this world, in fact all of the sensations were stronger than anything I had ever felt but I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. It was so wonderful to be able to hold Molly seconds after she was born, my boys I was able to hold hours later (Micah), Lucas was 4 days later. Vaginal was amazing, if you or anyone has any questions about Vbac I would be more than happy to chat!

I hope you get your VBAC. I had a repeat c-section, and although I healed quicker this time, even walked to the car instead of them wheeling me out, it still hurt like h*ll, (recovery wise) and I am still sore.
