Valentine's Day with kids...?

    So DH and I are planning on going to dinner the weekend before Valentine's Day. And to his knowledge that's all we're doing. Things have been super stressful and financially tight in our house so we can't do anything grandiose. However, I had a thought of wanting to do something for ourselves after the kids go to bed on V-Day. Like maybe a picnic in the living room or something. But I'm not sure how to make it a surprise considering we live in the same house and it would all be so obvious.

    What other things have you done to have a special time without going out?
