vaginal pain

I have BV right now, and have been having pain up in the vagina for 3 days. I was hoping it would be better this morning, but it seems a little worse. I am only 14wks, and scared to death that something might be going on with my cervix.

I am requesting for a u/s today, but has anyone had this pain this early on??

I am 23 weeks right now and have the same pain for a few weeks. My cervix looks great so they said its just the pressure of the babies. My sister is having one baby (due in April) and she described it as feeling like you put a baseball bat up there. I would get a sonogram just to make sure but my pain is normal. It is so bad sometimes that it is hard to sit.

I had that pain throughout my entire pregnancy. Mention it to your doctor, but chances are, it is perfectly normal and it is your body's way of adjusting to the new babies!!

 

I don't know what BV is so this may not be helpful. I did have that pain early on while I was still working. It was like a steady stabbing pain or something. I saw my peri and, being the precautionary soul he is, he ordered me out of work. I was able to talk him into giving me 3wks to turn over my workload but he wasn't happy about it. He just wanted me to take it easier. I had a 1.5hr drive each way and a stressful job though.

 

what is bv?

 

BV is bacterial vaginosis...it kind of carries symptoms like a yeast infection, but the discharge is a different color, and the itching isn't nearly as bad.

I did find out that it can cause PTL, so if you suspect it, get it checked. They give you anti-fungal meds for it.
