vaginal pain at 29 weeks

i just noticed that my vagina has started to hurt, on one side of the inner walls......this isn't a sign of my cervix softening or anything is it, or of dialation???

i see the OB tomorrow but i was just curious.

I so had that!! I was in SOOO much pain by the end, I could hardly walk, or sit for long periods. It wasn't a sign of anything bad for me... My ob said it was very normal but def talk to yours about it tomorrow! I had no signs of labor at all when I went for my sched c-section at 37.5 weeks. OYE the pain, I totally feel for you :hug: Laying down was the only thing that helped me.

 

I have shooting pains, which the OB says are from the babies pressing moving across a nerve. Then, she also informed me I have two big varicose veins in there now! Eww, I swear I would have been fine with her keeping that from me. Those can make it sore if I sit in my desk chair at work all day, etc. Vaginal pains are pretty common from what I have been told by my OB.

 

I had that very uncomfortable pain too. <_< I'm sorry you have it and I would definately talk to your doctor tomorrow, just to be safe. :good:

I'm so sorry! I had that too my last pregnancy and my doc called it c.r.o.t.c.h shots, where the baby would kick way down low. I kept saying well it's not like their foot is in there where it hurts but they said something about the nerves etc. Maybe like what linz said. Definitely tell your OB tomorrow. :hug:

 

So normal. After a while I feel like I have been riding on horseback....LOL. OUCH! But yes, various parts hurt and various shooting pains keep happening. So much pressure down there! Hang in there!

I just started having that today... I was wondering the same thing. When i'm sitting down I'm okay, but when I stand up it hurts! I thought I was splitting open or something.

 

The vagina pain that I felt was when I would move my legs to try to get out of bed...then I would feel pain down there. When I told the dr. about it ..I was told that it was my uterus stretching (opening)preparing for the babies birth.

 

That sounds terribly uncomfortable!! I am sorry you are having to deal with that! I agree if its still there tomorrow it may be worth mentioning to your Dr. I hope its nothing! GL! :hug:

 

I felt like I was being stabbed in the vagina from like 16 weeks until the end. After they were born it was almost strange not to be stabbed anymore!

 

I get a strange pain down there too - its not awfully painful, but I'm expecting it to get worse...it did with my singletons...*sigh*
