Hi guys...My baby B has been measuring bigger my whole pregnancy, within normal ranges. I've never really thought twice about it, especially because Baby B is a boy and Baby A is a girl. I'm very lucky in that both babies are head down right now and have been for a while, so it's looking good for a vaginal delivery. Yay! My OB mentioned yesterday that typically with vaginal twin deliveries, Baby A is bigger and sort of paves the way for an easier Baby B delivery. Well that will be backwards for me, with Baby B probably at least a pound bigger. My question is- does anyone out there have experience with a bigger 2nd twin delivery? I guess it just scared me even more about delivery because he made it sound like it would not be fun. (Like I needed more to worry about!) :headbang: Thanks for any input!!

I had to deliver (induced) at 34 weeks 6 days due to pre-eclampsia... Baby A was measuring smaller all the time in relation to Baby B. I delivered both vaginally and Baby A was 5 lb 5 oz and Baby B was 5 lb 15 oz...Baby A was actually longer than Baby B...we were quite surprised Baby A weighed so much because she had been measuring much smaller. So, I guess the u/s were not that accurate (since the tech had to go through my DS to get any measurements on her!) There were born about 30 minutes apart...

My Baby B always measure bigger than baby A as well. My Dr. never seemed concerned with it. I was induced at 38 +1 and delivered both vaginal. Baby B was 3/4 of a pound heavier than A. No issues delivering them at all. She was also breech at the time of of my delivery and turned vertex once A came out.

My OB always told me it wouldn't be problem unless baby B was estimated 2 lbs larger. My baby B was born 1oz lighter, so not a problem at all, but having gone through this (and my B was breech as well) that 1/2 - 1 lbs is going to make a major difference. Also my first was 9lbs+ so I was prepared ...

And again, the u/s could of and you could be worrying over nothing ... My baby B was estimated larger (just a little), so I when A was out and she weighed 7lbs11oz I was slightly worried what was about to come, for no reason ...
