When does the doctor make the decision with you about your delivery. obviously things can change when your in the midst of delivery. My twins have moved to a head down position so I am hoping for a vag delivery.

My doctor waited as long as possible to schedule my c/s. They didn't talk dates until I was 37/38 weeks... so I think they were really waiting to see if I should do natural or have a c/s. :good:

We scheduled my c-section when I was around 36 weeks. Baby A was breech and B was transverse. Baby A had only been head down one time throughout my whole pregnancy. I had an ultrasound right before they took me to the operating room just to make sure Baby A had not turned. He was still breech. I delivered at 37w4d.

I am going for the C-section. I had my first set of twins vaginal and then I had a c-section with my singleton. I plan on having another C-section and then having my tubes tied.

i went in to be induced and they did an ultrasound as soon as we got in to see if they were coming vag or if we were doing the section.

I asked sometime in the 2nd trimester (maybe around 20 weeks) when I might have a better idea of whether I'd need a c/s or not, and he said why don't we just schedule it now just in case, and if you don't need one we can cancel it. So we scheduled it for 38 weeks. I went in two days before the c/s and both babies were head down, but my BP was getting high and we were concerned about pre-e. He wanted the babies out very soon but I was not dilated at all so he said an induction could be very rough and end in a c/s anyway. I chose to go ahead with the c/s and everything went well and I have no regrets.
So basically we scheduled it very early, but I didn't have to decide if I wanted to go through with it until the very end.

Baby A has been head down for about 2 months now and doesn't seem like she'll be able to move so we're planning on vaginal unless she turns around. Baby B turned head down in the last 2 weeks so we're hoping they both stay like that. My doc won't look to schedule until about 35/36 weeks for a c/s during week 37 if needed.

We did schedule a date around 34 weeks with the caveat that we will do an ultrasound right before surgery to see if Baby A has turned. Our scheduled date is at 38 weeks and I will be induced if she has turned.
