Vacation

We are leaving for vacation in about 2 weeks. We will be in the car for about 20 hrs. Any suggestions on how to keep 2 one year olds busy for that amount of time? We will be making frequent stops so they can have breaks from their seats, and will be stopping about 1/2 way to spend the night, other than that anything goes I guess.

 

Is your vehicle DVD equipped? If not I would get one for it. That keeps my kids entertained on long trips more than anything.

 

Hate to say it, but do you have a DVD player in your car? Also do as much traveling overnight as you can.

 

We will be doing about the same amount of driving in about 2 months(South FL to the OBX, NC). I also suggest doing the bulk of driving overnight. We did that last year and it worked out well.

 

Good luck! I'd recommend Baby Einstein or their favorite show on DVD!

 

I 3rd the dvd players, i'm not a huge tv person but it made life SO much easier in the car. we rented some sesame street dvd's from the library and that kept them going for a long time. I would also recommend lots of snacks and a sippy cup, that helps. we love the snack trap type contraptions b/c they can hold them themselves. And do they have any favorite lovey's or toys, bring those if you have them. Good luck!!
