All the web sites address singleton pregnancies and I notice they always say "your uterus should be here at X weeks or be this many inches below your belly button". So, I know with twins our uterus grows faster. So, where is it when? For instance I am 9 1/2 weeks (babies are probably near 10 since they measure 2 days ahead at my u/s last week). So, where is my uterus? I assume it will pop out sooner than with a singleton. If anyone has a list or a web site that talks about this that would be cool too. I guess I just like to know where things are.

I'm not sure where you could find a chart for twins, but I have heard that with twins you would typically measure about 3 wks. ahead. At 11 wks my OB said my uterus was measuring at 14 -15 wks, so I guess that's about right.

That is probably about right. I just got my dopper today and was surprised to find one of them (I couldn't find the other but I do have a retroverted uterus, tipped backward). But, anyway I found it a inch or more above my pubic hairline which was surprising. I remember at this time finding it way lower with my singleton. I read a site that said at 12 wks with a singleton the uterus should be just above the pubic bone. So with me being nearly 10 wks mine must already be there, especially seeing as I found a hb about a inch above my pubic bone.

    Thanks

I was measuring always at least 4 weeks ahead of where I should have been until around 20 weeks where I measured 30weeks and kept that spacing until delivery.

At some point, when you see your doctor, he/she may check your fundal height or you can ask to have it checked. With multiples, really, it doesn't mean much, but it will give you a good comparison of where you measure compared to how you would look if you had just one baby in your womb. I usually measured about 5-6 cm/weeks ahead of where I was in gestation time. Some of my friends who are expecting twins at about the same time as I am are measuring larger or more ahead than I am so it really is an individual thing.

I don't know...I've always heard, and it also states in Dr. Luke's book that you generally measure 8 weeks ahead. At 10 weeks, when they discovered that I am carrying twins, my fundus was right below my navel (which is what made the doc get the U/S right that minute to confirm what she thought)....I'm 23 weeks tommorrow and the top of my uterus is just a little below my sternum, high enough for sharp kicks to the ribs...lol.
