So at about 3mo boys started sleeping through the night but now that they are 6 mo old william refuses. he wakesup at 3 am and wants his paci continually put in his mouth until i give up and feed him. their normal eating time is 5 am. if i let him scream then he will wake up timothy. so now what should i do? i am use to pumping at 1 am in the morning to keep supply up but its like only get one hour of sleep before he wakes up and wants help. so if i wait and dont pump and just get up at 3 then should i wake up timothy too that way they are both on the same schedule? drag in bed feed or wake up completely and feed on couch? sigh.. i just want him to sleep through night again.. waahh! we live in a douplex and feel bad for people downstairs so i cant really let him cio. cause walls / ceiling / floor soo thin...

    thanks for ideas

At that age I really didn't worry about waking the other to eat, if one woke up I brought him to bed, nursed him and put him right back in his crib. Are you a SAHM? If you are I would not worry about the pumping in the middle of the night and just let them make up for it during the day with nursing. You will produce what they need. It might make your life a little easier. Also mine did the same thing with sttn at 3 months they were doing great for about a month and then went right back to eating every 2-3 hours so I remember how frustrating it can be. Hang in there this could just be a phase.

I agree, have you thought about maybe not pumping at 1 am and just getting him and feeding him? My concern at 6 months is that he should be able to go the night without a feed. Also, my guys used to wake each other up but they got used to each other's cries very quickly once I allowed them to just listen to them. They slept through the crying probably about 2 weeks after I bit the bullet and let them cry. We also live in close proximity to others but we still did CIO. It didn't take long for my guys... a few nights really. Good luck! :hug99:

:hug99: I agree with Sarah.. see if he'll eat at 1 since him eating is more effective at keeping up your supply compared to the pump. I have no other STTN advice since my girls didn't start until 8 months and I won't even tell you about the last week in this house (4am crying?! That was SO last year!).
