My girls were 4 months last week (and my tailbone STILL hurts!)! They have both atleast doubled their birth weight!! (new weights in signature)

Today we had the Upper GI for Maia and good news... all her organs are in their right places and are working properly! :) So its just really bad reflux!! She has been on prevacid for 2 weeks now and has been less fussy, sleeping better and puking less although she does still puke its just not projectile now.
We also started solids and I think that is helping too. They are only getting 2-3 teaspoons between the two of them but they enjoy them and there has been even less puking since we started so... yay for solids!

I did CIO for bedtime and naps starting about 2 weeks ago, and I am happy to report I had a 50% improvement!! Maia can now be placed in the crib AWAKE and will go to sleep with little to no fussing. No more soothing from the momma!! woohoo! Sofia was still crying... ALOT! So I decided she was not ready for it and will try again in a couple weeks. She needs ALOT of help getting to sleep.

The girls also have had fabulous naps these past 2 days! They have slept a MINIMUM of 1 HOUR at naptime!! I am hoping this is a trend and not a fluke because I dont want to deal with those 30min nappers who are unhappy anymore! They have woken up from their naps HAPPY these past 2 days!! I started a morning routine and I think that is helping with the first nap, so now I am going to work on the rest of the day, then I'll tackle nighttime (they are waking up 2-3-4x a night again! ugh its worse than when they were newborns! They have both already been up tonight! grrrr!).

Sofia's flathead is improving and she does not need PT or a helmet. She can turn both ways just fine and pedi said to keep doing what I was doing! Sofia can now roll belly to back too!

And after much persistence I can say with the utmost of confidence my girls WILL DRINK BOTTLES NOW even from me!!

Cohlee, your post just put a great big smile on my face! :D That is so great. I'm hoping all the "improvements" continue... and that nasty, bad reflux goes away!!! Your girls are absolutely adorable.

OMG! Are they cute or what??!! Thanks for sharing those pictures! I am glad that you have a definitive diagnosis and that the Prevacid seems to be working for them! My babies both had awful reflux, and it was one of the toughest things I have ever been through! It's so hard to see your babies in pain! :hug99:

Thanks for the update, they are absolutely adorable! Glad to hear things are going pretty good, and not to deter you but my girls at 6 months were waking ALOT at night. I literally went 3wks with no longer than 20 min. sleep at a streach!! CIO was the best thing we ever did! Solids probably are helping with the reflux so YAY!! Glad to hear all is well.
