Upgrading from a double snap-n-go

Everyone here is always so helpful with tips on buying for twins. Before the girls were born we bought a double snap-n-go stroller (thanks to your suggestions!:good: ). We love our snap-n-go but the girls are now 8 months old. In the next 4 months we will need to upgrade to a bigger stroller (as well as carseats).

I was thinking about the Jovvy Big Caboose since we also have a 3year old but it seems TO big and hard to push. Since DD#1 is used to walking I figured we would just get a stroller for the twins. I need a stroller that fits through door ways (so no side by sides). I would prefer something lower in price but I'm willing to spend more for a good long term stroller. So any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Many sbs can fit through doorways so you don't have to necessarily rule those out unless you have decided against them already. I am currently having my own stroller conundrum (haha) so I can't give much advice except for this. If you go with a tandem Graco and are deciding between the duoglider and the double quattro tour I would spend the extra to get the quattro as it is much nicer and sturdier than the duoglider imo (we had the duoglider for the seats to snap into and a single quattro for our previous child and that one was wayyyyy nicer).

I sooo wish someone would come up with a build your own stroller system, pick between a few chassis and add on what you need! We splurged on the valco with the toddler seat and my twins really don't like it and grunt and moan and fuss when they are in it if its not moving. :(

Good luck on your search. I have heard good things about the kolcraft contours.

I figured most SBS dont fit through doorways which is why I ruled them out BUT I have been looking at the BOB & baby jogger strollers which seems nice. I really like that they have big canopys since my kids burn easy.

I wanted the bumbleride indie twin, but because of it's cost ($650), I ended up getting this one (which gets great reviews online and only cost $140):

It is a Dream on Me
    Dream on Me Stroller

It fits through doorways fine. Also the bumbleride is designed to fit through doorways too. Average doorways are 30-32" wide, so you need something that is no wider than that. We didn't want a front and back stroller because usually you cant recline both seats all the way back and eventually someone will not want to sit in the back.

For a front and back stroller someone gave us a Baby Trend duo sit and stand that has two seats and sits all the way up and goes back a little bit. It is pretty nice too and I think it is not that expensive (under $300). We are using it as an alternative stroller when the girls can sit up more. Good luck!

We got the Kolocraft Contours and have used it from day 1. I love it. It is long but so worth it for the space you have. It has a huge basket under neath that can fit everything!!! I still use it and my twins are 3 and have no problem sitting in it. It is also nice that you can face the seats any direction. It also has attachments for carseats but looks like you don't need that.

Yep pretty much all SBS strollers that are currently made are designed to fit through a "standard" sized doorway. That means of course that there will occasionally be places where you won't fit through (I think I've only encountered one place and I wasn't imperative to go in there lol) or where you'll have to open the other half of a door. No biggie honestly for all of the better qualities (in my opinion) that a SBS has on a tandem stroller.
