So I got a call from my doc, I did test positive after the 3-hour glucose test (I really, really wanted to say "DUH!!"), so now it's a diet...1800 calories a day and a prescription medication for the rest of my pregnancy...and this with the holidays coming up? These babies better love me, that's all I have to say :).

And yay for our 27-week ultrasound!! Brandon was great! He is, of course, very proud that he's a boy :). Natalie was a little trickier though, as she's burrowed deep into my pelvis and decided to be stubborn, so the tech couldn't even confirm for a 2nd time that she's a girl :(. Brandon is measuring at 27 weeks 2 days and 2lbs 3oz (doesn't that sound HUGE??). Natalie (we hope, lol) is measuring at 27 weeks 6 days and 2lbs 9oz. It sounds like they're huge already to me, but then again, my first baby was huge, 8 lbs 13 oz...so who knows, they might just be big babies!

Thanks again everyone for the explanations and support on my concerns with IUGR, but it looks like they're growing right on schedule, the tech even said their growth was great and appropriate since our last ultrasound :). I'm SO happy today! :)

And the tech took a pic of their hearts side by side <3

Oh, and another thing I forgot to mention...they have one placenta!! We totally thought that being fraternals, and being boy/girl, that they would have two placentas...are mono/di boy/girl twins common? I've just never heard of that, I guess!

Congrats but sorry about failing the GD test. Did you have GD with your first? I was tested both times as well (negative twice), especially since my babies measured large. My oldest was born 9lbs+ and my twins measured 2lbs11oz (both exactly the same) at 26w ... born close to 8, so you're doing well! Keep it up!

Yup, I had GD with my first, so we knew it was going to happen again. Lol, sounds like you make big babies like me! I have a feeling I'm going to be tipping some serious scales in the upcoming weeks here :).

If they are indeed boy/girl then it is two placentas that fused and not really one. If they are boy/girl they have to be frat. Congrats!! Sorry about your glucose, that stinks but I'm glad the babies look good!!

Sorry to hear about your Glucose test. Take care of yourself Momma! Great pics....in regards to the weights, I don't think they seem huge. At my last ultrasound mine my boy was 2lbs 6oz and my girl 2lbs 12oz. I feel as though mine a teeny. I know another twin momma who is the same along as me (my sister watches her kids) and at the same time hers were over 3lbs. They are now both over 5lbs and she is 31 weeks along!

I didn't really expect them to be so big so soon! I was really surprised...but it's good to know that I'm not the only one, lol.
