I pregnant with ONE baby bean with a heart rate in the 170's. Everything is great and I'm even measuring ahead two days. The whole Antibody thing was explained to me... I have anti-K from a blood transfusion I had years ago. I may have showed symptoms when Nevan was born because he had jaundice but no one tested at that moment. I will have to undergo regular blood tests to make sure everything is good meaning the titre's do not increase but otherwise the Doctor is not worried.

Suzanne, I saw Dr. D and he told me that because I have two separate incisions there is no way anyone in the practice will let me VBAC unless I showed up in fast progressed labor. I see SF the next visit, so we'll see what she says as well.

I'm glad everything is fine with the antibody thing. I can't say I'm surprised that Dr. D. said that. Now you are just a typical "had 2 c/s" case right?? by 2 incisions he just meant that you'd had 2 c/s right?? I had understood that on a 2nd c/s they went in at the same exact site. ACOG still recommends a trial of labor even after 2 c/s (for certain candidates...low incision scar, etc.) ...but I don't think most docs are allowing it nowdays...heck lots of docs aren't even allowing 1 vbac. I know people who have done vba2c though. But personally if it were me I'd want to do a lot more research, and I'd want to really know exactly what the medical reports say about my scar. Not sure if you've popped on there yet...but babycenter.com has a great resource on their vbac support thread. The mod. over there can answer almost any question you have about vba2c...if you really want to be informed. She's got great links to articles, research, and lots of support for people willing to buck the system. And even if you decide to go for c/s after researching it all some of the ladies there have great tips for how to approach a planned c/s to make it more meaningful, to make a birthplan that will give you a little more control over even a planned c/s.

No, I have two different incisions... the first one was too keloid to cut through so she did a second one just above it. He did say if it were just one incision he'd be more inclined but the position is just wrong. We'll see!! I'll pop over to BC and look at things... dh would rather another c-section since its the busiest time of year for him but I'm still debating. Thanks for the tips!

    That's really great to hear!
I'm happy your mind can be put at ease now. It stinks when you don't understand what is going on with your own body, especially when pregnant. Glad you shared your news.
