    Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to give you a little update on how we are doing since our ambulance trip to the Twin Cities on Sat. morning. It appears that things are stable for the time being. My cervix is so non-existent that it is not measurable by ultrasound, but the peri who checked me when I was admitted says there is still a little something there and I am not dilated. The contractions were brought back under control with Indocin and Nifedipine. The Indocin was stopped on Monday morning and the contractions increased some in number, but they are still within the range I am told is acceptable. For several hours a day the contractions are about 8-10 minutes apart, but they are not increasing in intensity. Other times during the day the contractions are fewer, which is good. I've been told that I will be in the hospital until the babies come. That's really not fun, but better than really little preemies, so I'm happy. We made it to 29 weeks yesterday.

We live 3 hours from from the hospital, so it's not easy for DH to go back and forth. He did go home once to get me some more clothes and my little Christmas tree and a few other things. He's been really great. I couldn't ask for more support. He's been very fortunate that he has a bunch of vacation that he has to use before the end of the year anyway, so that has helped with the work situation. He is going to go work tomorrow and then 1-2 days next week so he can avoid using up some sick leave.

It is very difficult for me to type, so I haven't been posting much. About once a day DH hooks up a keyboard for me that I can have on the bed and makes things easier, but I don't always have easy access to it. Thank you for the PMs several of you have sent. I'm sorry I can't easily respond. If I do respond to posts, please forgive me if they are just a couple of words and all in lower case letters.

Glad to see an update :) You are right being in the hospital is better than babies born to early. I know it must not be easy but it will be so worth once the babies are born. I am so happy your hubby is being so supportive. That will help you out a lot. Hang in there and know you are in all of our thoughts *hugs*

Best of luck Beth. I think we'll be all sure to watch for your posts to see how you are doing. I agree with being in the hospital though especially if you live 3 hours away from the hospital. Hope the time passes quickly.

Hang in there, you are doing great. The hospital is a very hard place to be, but it really is the best for the babies.

    Beth,
Thanks for the update, I have been wondering how you were doing. I'm so glad to hear that those babies are staying put for now. That's great that there is no dilation. Hopefully things will stay as they are for at least a few more weeks. We're moving right along, aren't we?! You'll be in my prayers, I know hospital extended stays are no fun, but at least you'll have the reassurance of having people watching you closely and being your arms and legs for awhile. :)

It is wonderful to hear that things have stablized to some extent. As hard as it must be to be stuck in the hospital, it is the safest place for you to be right now. Just think when you go into labor you won't have to rush to the hospital. Anyway, hang in there and good luck with the baby baking. :hug99:
