UPDATE: Still cooking

Well, it's been a few days of "no news is good news" for us. My little twin A continues to post great heart rates at my 3 NSTs each day and she has more than doubled her fluid level around her. I had another ultrasound yesterday and both babies are still practicing to breathe, yawning, emptying their bladders and kicking around. The girls are lying face to face with their heads under my belly button giving each other kisses. My husband says he's in deep trouble if they're conspiring and telling secrets aleady! :blbl: I wish I could post the picture from here.

Each day my OB and peri are thrilled with the numbers and see nothing physically wrong with my girls. All of my tests have come back normal showing no infection, no pre-e level proteins and no chromosomal defects. Our plan from here is to watch and wait until baby A (Aurora Nicole) decides she doesn't want to stay in any longer and then we will take them both. Baby B (Bettye Katheryne) would suffer if something were to happen to baby A since they are mono/di, so I will continue with the hospital bed rest until they're here. DH and I are praying for 7 more weeks and the doctors say it's not out of the question...there's just no way to predict.

Thank you all for your words of encouragement. I feel a little selfish as I haven't really read anyone else's posts this week, but resting and growing these pumpkins is my first priority A scare like this just puts everything else in perspective. I hope anyone else out there facing a similar situation or a scare of any type can read my story and know that there's always a chance to beat the odds. I know my girls and I are not in the clear yet, but each day is a gift and I couldn't be more proud of my little fighters.

Im so glad to hear the news! I was thinking a lot about you and your family last night hoping you would up date us. Your focus should be on those babies right now and we all look forward to hearing more good news over the next 7 weeks. You will still be in our prayers. You sound so positive and I think that makes such a big difference for you and your DH. Keep up the good work! :woohoo:

Wow! That's so great! I hope everything continues to go well, and you can keep them cooking for at least 7 more weeks!

Nothing new to report, but they are using the term IUGR now. I'm not sure exactly how that fits in with the cord blood flow, but I plan to ask tomorrow. I had another u/s today, so we'll get the biophysical profile restults in the morning. My doctors continue to be optomistic about getting a few more weeks in there! No signs of labor, so we're just "feeding, watering and growing" these girls.

YAY!!! Good Job Danielle..what a great mom you already are! I'll donate 2 of my weeks to you (once I reach 38wks-ish of course!)

Hang in there Danielle! I am sure your positive attitude has been very helpful in your situation! I have been on bedrest for a week now and I find myself looking for your posts on here for an update! Keep us posted!
