I was admitted to the hospital on Monday for contractions 2 minutes apart. They discharged me on Tuesday.
Here's a little update on our days since Tuesday:

They put me on procardia to control the contractiosn and I can't tolerate it. The headaches are the worst. I called my doctor today to see what I should do and for some reason he wanted me to come into the hospital (that's where he was) so he could keep an eye on me for a little while. I got there..there did some tests. Cervix is still 1cm, 60% effaced. He was happy that nothing has changed, however according to him I "was banging out contractions" every 2-3 minutes.. He decreased my dose in procardia to help with the side effects, but when I got home and took a dose of it, I got the worst migraine ever. I called him and he told me to stop taking it completely. he said "we are just going to have to see what happens." I told him that I'm still having contractions anywhere from 2-7 minutes apart- they've been like this almost all day. He said to go in, per usual, if they get stronger. So, I'm home resting, have been all week.

I really don't know what to expect from here. I wish I could have some kind of insight of what to expect with all this. DH thinks that I'm lucky if I make it to my appt on Monday afternoon, I on the other hand, feel like even though I'm having contractions, if my body were laboring my cervix would be showing signs of progressing labor.

How stressful! I was on Procardia for a couple of weeks(31-33 weeks), but had to go off of it, because it made my heart rate higher than it already was. My doctor told me that she would have put me on mag if I would have come in contracting again, up until 34 weeks. Fortunately, my contractions seemed to calm a bit from weeks 33-37...strange! Drink tons of water, and then drink some more! Hang in there.

Yikes, I'm scared of the "mag!" I haven't heard good things about it. I'm scared what the next step is if I go back in with contractions this weekend or something. I just wish there was some indication of what to expect with all this.

I think that was the most difficult part of my twin pregnancy, you never know what is going to happen next. How are you today?

    Thanks for asking :)
I am doing ok. Off of the procardia for good, and the contractions aren't as bad as I thought they would be, but I've only been off of the procardia for 24 hours. I bet I will be back in the hospital before the weekend ends..but we will see. I hope to keep these girls in, but I'm also so anxious!
