The boys always napped in their swings in the living room, with these stuffed bunnies and blankets and the swing music. Well, last week I moved the swings into the nursery so they get used to going in there for naps, and stopped using the swing music and switched to the mobile "lullaby" music. I tried to move them to the crib once last week but they freaked out so I put them in the swings again.
Well, today I decided to put them in the swings for their naps. They were both kind of cranky (teething, constipated) but I figured hey, will there every be a "good" time? Thier first nap sucked, Con went down right away but Chase took a bit, I ended up having to rock the crib a bit but then they were both down ... a half hour later the phone rang and woke Chase up who woke Con and that was the end of that.
Second nap, both went down within about 5 minutes and napped ... 2 and a half hours!!! YAY!!!!
Third nap got screwed up because we were out and they slept in the car.

Hopefully tomorrow works out better! We're getting there!!!

Oh, I am so glad they had a long nap. You will be so relieved very soon as they continue to get used to it! They are on their way!

That is awesome!! Just stick with a routine and all will be good.

ETA: Have you thought about white noise? I have a machine that plays ocean sounds in my girls' room that we got at BRU for like $20-25. It works wonders because we have a cape style house (small upstairs) and it's old so it's very creaky, but the white noise not only drowns out the sounds, but is soothing for them. I also have the ringer on my phone near their room turned off (two others in the house that are on). Just my two cents!

Yep, got that covered! The heating unit thing is actually in their room and when the central fan is on, it leaves a hum going on - otherwise I would run the vaporizer. I happened to be in their room putting clothes away and forgot my cell phone was in my pocket and my MIL called ... which woke them up. Oops!!!

Wow, sounds like things are going great, good for you! And I really admire the fact you've been breastfeeding this long, that is fantastic. I couldn't have done it with twins if you paid me. I tried a little in the hospital but at the time Danny looked just like my MIL...when I saw 'her' face at my breast I freaked out!

Way to go! I can't get my guys to sleep more than 45 minutes in their cribs.
